In 2016 Trump promised a better future even if it was an obvious, to me anyway, lie. 2024 is sheer open personal retribution and nothing else.

Trump hurt himself. He showed everyone he is still Trump. Still the angry old man that did January 6th with no regrets. That this is his vengeance tour. That all the chaos of his last presidency was on display. No changes, no regrets.
I think the dems who so vociferously pushed against any idea that there should have been a primary and we could have had a better candidate for this election are fucking in a sort of a cult.
