There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "silverpig's iPod". The requested resource was not found.

So how does the upgrade process work? Do you have to download iTunes 8, upgrade/restart, then download the corresponding iPod/iPhone update? Or can you update using an older version of iTunes? Methinks you have to upgrade iTunes first.

8GB iPod touch is $30 too expensive. In fact, they're all too expensive given the incremental changes. Might be worth it if Apple added a GPS, but they didn't. The "built-in Nike+ipod" is a joke--why not add a GPS receiver and sell the software separately, with or without Nike branding (as it would work with *any* shoes?) Oh, right, because you have a marketing deal with Nike. Idiots. Unless, of course, the "built-in Nike+ipod" means that they DID add a built-in GPS, and just aren't advertising it??
Anyway, without GPS, the pricing should align as follows
8GB - $199
16GB - $249
32GB - $349
Those are my reference prices, and I'm sticking to them. Won't be getting one unless someone buys it for me. I'll stick with my B&W 20GB iPod just a bit longer...
But that still requires an external sensor. My point was that a built-in accelerometer and GPS wouldn't require any attachments to your shoes, and could be used for other things (i.e. biking, hiking, skiing, etc.) Bones in Motion does this with their BiM Active software--only requires a mobile phone with GPS.Originally posted by: abaez

It does work with any shoe. You just need the shoe attachment now instead of buying both.
