It was on TV this morning on some random channel dedicated to the Olympics. I'm pretty pleased with the amount of coverage compared to the past, 4 HD channels covering different events is pretty cool.

Yeah if you have DirecTV they have 4 or 5 Olympic channels (in HD!) starting at channel 750

its well worth it. i got to see it in 1080I and itwas just great. one of the best openings for the olypics i have ever seen. doubt we will see anything like that again for a long time.
