wtf is this humpback street hockey sport called field hockey? These are supposedly professionals shooting a ball that's skipping along the ground not unlike how kids shoot a ball and fall off-balance - it looks pretty ridiculous. Give them some longer sticks at least... geez.

The girls are mostly hot though. Short shorts and tight tops... nice spectacle.

Ignorance ftl. Field Hockey is the oldest form of hockey.

^ because it's the oldest form it makes it all ok that they look like fools? Their release on shots & passes make them half-fall over and the ball is skipping along the ground. Picture running around with a miniature-golf club and trying to go around people. This is the wackiest pro sport I've ever seen. I can't believe these athletes choose to play this sport when roller/ice hockey and even lacrosse & soccer are available.

Who else cannot WAIT for racewalking events? Has to be the best sport ever. Running while always maintaining contact with the ground, it's completely masterful.

Second up, fencing. I used to fence so I know how awesome it is. Have you seen it? It's so quick it's almost like nothing is happening. Plus, some of the best ones there are even overweight, it's that hardcore a sport.

Tae Kwon Do. Check this out. You take real fighting and develop it to such a formalized, ruled extent that it truly excels beyond anything even approaching fighting and is almost a dance. The people are so good that nobody even gets hurt!

Trampoline. Take the jack of all trades matser of none from gymnastics and have them centralize all efforts into jumping on a springed mat. It's what every kid can do and yet as adults they bring it to a new level. Absolute respect. Gymnastics, sucks, move over for trampoline, baby! Look at them spin!

Equestrian, YES. So badass that even a guy in his 60's can make it in. Athleticism is abdicated and in comes superior, wicked knowledge and experience. Instead of doing the work, just make the horse do it, that is exactly what I'm all about. The spirit of the Olympics, even.

At work now so can't watch it. I watched the volleyball and swimming last night though. The commercial breakaways are pretty obnoxious though as are most of the commercials

Nice game. China hung in tough during the beginning with those 3's. Does anyone think it's neat how well received the US team was in China? The Chinese sure does love our NBA players. I didn't know that Kobe, Lebron etc. jerseys all sell better in China than Yao Ming's jersey.
