Am using ADW again myself, like the "lock desktop" option. Except when I forget I locked the desktop

Not familiar with TVShowStream, but OMFGB supports NetFlix. I've used it a few times.

Since the update isn't forced, how is someone suppose to know that the free tethering is over? I can still run the app and tether and have not seen anything from Verizon in my bill stating otherwise.

With what Verizon charges for overages, I'd be careful. I just had a DSL line installed since free tethering went away.

There's no Gingerbread update yet. The recent OTA was mostly about the improved radio, to resolve hand off glitches and the reboot issues the last one caused. Scuttlebutt says the official GB update is in final testing staging though, so maybe in a few weeks.

So how is the latest version of CM for the Thunderbolt? I'm running stock right now and not rooted but I'm interested in Cyanogen. I'm looking for a rom that is stable enough for day to day use and isn't missing any functionality. Does the current version of CM meet that criteria or should I wait?

Is it just me or is the camcorder absolutely ass-awful on these things? Not quality mind you, but every video I take seems to hitch and freeze like crazy. So I'll shoot the waves coming in at a beach, but when the video plays back on the phone or on my computer later it'll freeze for several seconds at a time, and then jump ahead like 15 seconds or whatever.

CM and OMFGB have met that criteria for a while now, I believe. I haven't experienced any sow stopping bugs with the latest OMFGB nightlies, but I haven't tried the latest CM 1.6.2 yet.

Its coming, there've been 3 solid GB leaks in the past two weeks. No clue when the official update in coming though. But, it'll include Sense, so its only wanted for the radio upgrades.

All GB updates and GB phones have been extremely slow in coming. Gingerbread was launched last October, remember. And we're only now seeing phones launch with GB installed. Heck, some are still launching with Froyo.

I went from the Nexus S (stock GB) to the TB almost 6 months ago when I had to switch from TMo to VZW for work. GB has been stock on some phones for quite some time. The TB will be absolute crap by the time we get a stable stock GB update.

This is all based on rumor (what isn't rumor on hardware/software yet to be released) that the Nexus Prime might be out as soon as October and will have Ice Cream on it. Nexus phones tend to be amongst the first phones to get new Android flavors.

With the rumor of as early as October for Ice Creamed next Nexus vs the rumor of maybe the end of Sept for Thunderbolt to get Gingerbread, almost seems there is a very remote possibility that Nexus Prime will beat GB on TB.
