Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I've been doing some home renovation projects on the room where all my PCs are (and took a few days off from work to do so) so I've been without internet access for a couple days.

Heh...nope. I've been playing Bob Villa with help from my dad (a much better carpenter than I). I'll post some pics as soon as I'm back up and running at home. We built a pretty kickass entertainment center cabinet thingy to hold my new TV, stereo, HTPC, etc.

FYI- everyone make sure they watch the coverage tomorrow. First stage in the mountains means the big guys will be trying to test each other's fitness. May be a chess match or it may be a bloodbath....either way it'll be excellent viewing.

'Tis a shame that LeMond's sour grapes are preventing him from keeping his mouth shut. He just comes off like a classless, jealous jerk. Obviously we have no idea whether Lance is using drugs, but given that he is the most-tested athlete in the world, and has never tested positive (other than the one test that was explained to UCI satisfaction by a prescribed ointment IIRC), I think he's entitled to the benefit of the doubt.

LeMond's comments just detract from his own accomplishments, which are tremendous.

I'd have to think he is particularly jealous of Lance in that Lance has effectively taken not only his claim to being the greatest American road cyclist, but also his role as the Tour's greatest Comeback Kid.

He's not the current French national champion for nothing. Nats races are usually very long and tough, so it's pretty rare that a nobody will get the win.

Are you watching today? Damn, what a day, what a finish! Would have liked to see Lance take the stage and an additional time bonus, but I'm sure he's ok with the time gained on the competitors today.

You get UCI points for placing in races (with more points awarded for big races like the Tour) but Lance doesn't really do a lot of races other than the Tour where he's trying for a high placing. He basically just does them for training. Thus, he doesn't tally up a lot of points outside of the Tour.

Is 5min 24sec hard to make up? Seems like a long time to me, unless he was going "easy" today. Then again he did make up almost 4 minutes in time today over the leader.
