How about the fact that the entire concept of the movie was contra to the original show? I've pointed this out multiple times and no one has disagreed with me yet. Spielberg himself even pushes the movie to be a bout a boy and his car:

That's not what Transformers was about. That's someone looking to milk off rabid fans and try to entice more people by making it into a family-oriented film. I enjoy most remakes a lot more than most people do, but I did not enjoy this film. My expectations were high, they were not met.

I can't help that you have a complex that won't allow you to shove your grudges aside to enjoy the many good aspects/moments of the movie. I seriously feel bad for you. Are you one of the LotR weirdos that HATED the movies because Tom Bombadil wasn't in them. I hate to generalize, but that's totally what you come off as.

Obviously you're just grasping at straws here because you can't actually argue against my largest point about why the movie isn't that good. No, I am not a LotR fan at all and have I once mentioned that I hated the movie because Welker wasn't the voice of Megatron? No, I have not. Although, I think it would've been a bit more reminiscent with him in it.
I went expecting transformers, I got Even Stevens with some robots. Hell, Michael Bay even said that Transformers were just "kiddy toys" or something like that and only gained respect for them after he visited Hasbro. I think what he really gained was dollar signs in the eyes for how to milk all the sorry nerds with his crap he puts out.

What is your greatest complaint? The human element? Would you have preferred a full-CGI movie set on Cybertron? I'll pass, thanks. They made the story to be on Earth. Where humans live. I honestly thought the "boy and his car" focus was brilliant. Because myself, and I'm sure hundreds of thousands of other Transformer fans would have loved to be in that boy's position. Pure fantasy, of course. But it was entertaining to me.
Well anyway, I just don't know what further to say about it. I'm genuinely sorry that you allowed yourself to not enjoy the experience.

So what if the movie deviated from the original show? Did you really want a frame by frame remake of a 20 year old cartoon? I certainly didn't. If I ever felt I needed to see the original show, I'd watch the original show.
There were some things I felt could have been done better, but in all honesty the end result was pretty spectacular. Yes, it was geared more towards a family movie, but it did pay a lot of respect to the original show.

agreed.
not to mention, who the hell cares if the movie itself was about a boy and its car. The back story is still there, and ever present whenever Optimus Prime talks.
Don't worry, you'll see a lot more of the story with Transformers 2. Starscream will probably lead more Decepticons to Earth, Optimus and the rest of the Autobots will fight them off, and I can almost guarantee Megatron will come back as Galvatron and probably kill Starscream. I hope he doesn't kill Starscream, but I bet there will be a fight and at the least Starscream will probably be sent off into space, defeated and weak.

In what way does she not look good....exactly?
The angle of the shot could have been more flattering for her.
Megan Fox looks f0cking hawt in the movie, in most of the scenes. But the primere shot is 'okay' due to the composition. The red lipstick is also too red for her skin tone and shes looking rather orangegy

Like I said, the original show was Robots vs Robots and the humans were just kind of there. This was more like Humanity vs Robots with some Robots as assistance. Heck, they said the idea of the movie was more about a "boy and his car" than anything else... that's not transformers.
Sam Witwicky wasn't a metrosexual in the old cartoon, though.Originally posted by: Aikouka
