I wouldn't even rate him as John Rambo. He fits in to my answer to your next question.
Well, I'm not sure how to classify him, but that was my quick idea.

They needed the humans to move the story along. There was barely any plot as there was. Compared to the G1 cartoons though, this was Shakespeare.
The original show was robots with a bit of humans added for flavor, this was the opposite. I believe this show was actually more like one of the Japanese animes (Transformers has a TON of animes in Japan... I found them all available for download on an HTTP site, but I have yet to get them). Also, what about the lack of dinobots? Grimlock is my favorite autobot . At least Starscream was in the movie as he was my favorite decepticon. It was great when Megatron yelled at him for failing him once again, but I was a bit disappointed when Starscream didn't make a quip back at him about being a better leader. We all know Starscream always mentioned how he'd be a better leader than Megatron.

The Decepticons needed more developing, I'll give you that. But then, it would have been a 2 and half to 3 hour long movie.
I wouldn't have minded it being that long... I needed me a movie about transforming robots, not a kid with high pheromone levels that is looking to mate with the female! I was also a bit disappointed not to hear any of the corny auto-related phrases like, "Suffering spark plugs, he's right!"

I'm sure she will be mostly in the next FHM or whatever.
I hopes so... she was rockin' in the movie.
I still found it sad for some of the other movies that came out this year... that I laughed more at Transformers (an action movie) than their movie ( that were comedies ).
