Official TV-Out card thread

I am planning on putting a system in my living room. I would like to display a crisp 800*600 image on my TV, and have reasonable gaming performance. What card is the best? I am looking for a card that costs under $100 US, but I will pay more if I that's what it takes to get a good card.

I appreciate your input.

You really should do a search as this question has been asked countless times but here goes........I have read that ATI's Rage theater chip has the best TV out quality going.

The "BEST" TV-Out is on the Radeon 8500DV but the one on the Radeon 8500LE and regular 8500s are very good too. DONT GET AN NVIDIA card if you want good TV-out. The best Deal is the Radeon 8500LE 128Ram Retail Box /3.3ns memmory and an ATI Remote WOnder... The Remote wonder is an RF remote.

All the Radeon 8500's use the same rage theater chip for TV-out, so they'd all be the same.

Does the Radeon 7500 use the rage theatre chip? I am planning on getting an Althon Radeon 7500 290clock/320mem for my TV rig.

I'll probably get in on this week, so I will let you know.

No bones about it, ATi's TV-Out is the best in the business. All the cards mentioned are fine choices. My favorite is the 8500DV from a price/performance/feature aspect, but the new AIW 8500 128MB is a killer worth every cent.
