*Official* UCLA vs. Gonzaga thread

I'm glad UCLA won, since i picked them beforehand, but i do feel sorry for Morrison still. I'd draft Morrison in a hurry, he plays his heart out, and loves to win.

sigh, I had zaga over ucla, and for the entire game except the last minute, it looked like I was right.

There are a number of things they could have done to win, and they didn't. Morrison was at fault on numerous occasions, and other people were at fault on other occasions. For you to say that his teammates let him down is ridiculous. They all blew it, Morrison included..

Nowhere in my posts that I said Morrison was all that great in the last 5-10 minutes. The *whole team* screw up big time <coaching staff too>. But if his teammates did use their head, they could have won.

Just like a football game, when you have the lead with a few seconds to go, you HOLD ON TO THE DARN BALL and DO NOT GET ANY TURNOVERS. That's simple.

HOLY CRAP I JUST GOT BACK FROM THAT GAME AND I AM SO SOSOSOSOSOSO GLAD THAT I BOUGHT TICKETS. THAT TOTALLY COMPENSATED FOR HOW HORRIBLE MY FINALS WERE. I'M STILL SHAKING BECAUSE IT WAS SO INTENSE.

you really just HAD to be there. EVERYONE thought that gonzaga would win, at halftime a UCLA group was dancing and a guy was juggling and trying to hype up the crowd, but no one really cared. The UCLA crowd was completely silent during the game too w/ gonzaga fans up in roars. BUT man the final last plays i don't even need to say how crazy it was.

best sporting event i have ever attended by miles and miles

You do realize that Morrison had the ball right before Batista right, and that he almost threw it away? Morrison could have gotten the ball out of trouble, but failed to do so also.

Go UCLA. Way to eff up Gon-ZA-ga, as they like to say. You're cool Morrison, but you're not LA cool. Unless you go to the Lakers. Then it's chill.

Damn that sucked, I was certain Morrison would get the Neismith award if he kept Gonzaga going through the playoffs. His team definately let them down though, as opposed to Reddick not coming through for his. I just hope he can make a name for himself in the pro's now.

Look at the LAST 10 seconds of the game and the last two possessions for Gonzaga.
They still had the lead and 10 seconds to go. All they had to do was to hold on to the ball.
That's why they lose the game. They <the whole team> screw up big time but those last ten seconds and two possessions were the MOST CRITICAL.
