Thank you. Perhaps you can enlighten me, master.
France did not dominate the game. They held possession in the second half, not pressure. They had a few opportunities, but England (with a defence as weak as theirs) did a magnifcant job of containing their presence.
England lost the game on three mistakes. Most people would agree England played the better game.
Now that's better, isn't it? Now you are contributing and giving your views.
I recall that the ball played around mostly in the England side of the half. To me that's dominating possession and keeping pressure on England.
And isn't that what I said? England did a superb job at defending.
France did dominate the attack but were out of ideas. England defense was very very strong. That's why I said that the stats can be misleading because the shot attempts don't reflect how much France tried in attacking England.
We watch the same game, and read the same stats but simply interpret it differently.
Our only difference is that you got a strange attitude but I'm open to your ideas. I don't agree with it all but do agree with some of your views. It'd help if you contribute rather than just saying sh*t about me because we do at least partly talk about the same thing using different vocabulary.
With the likes of mistakes by Gerrard and Beckham's rather poor penalty which led to Barthez's fantastic save, I cannot agree that England had the better game.
But then, I know f*ck about the sport, right?
