Yeah. I think it's a good rule of thumb for fans to watch out when there are bitter fans around.

There have been stories of Koreans getting beaten up by the Chinese in Beijing after a South Korea win over China. Not smart to go on celebrating and pissing off the Chinese when you are more than outnumbered. Nobody else other than Koreans know about this story though. I haven't seen media coverage about it either. Who knows? Maybe it's made up.

Well that's because other nations' fans aren't so committed to holiganism as the Brits. Seriously, when I stayed in Southhampton for 4 weeks in '97, I remember my British friends telling stories of how their pops, uncles, etc. did what in past competitions... and like it`s a good thing, they told this stories with so much honor.... I don't know man... things may have changed since then....

The Portugese refused a minute of silence for a dead English fan killed by an illegal Ukranian immigrant in Portugal, in a non-football related incident (ie: not rioting fans).

They deserve anything they get.

Just got back from the pub. Don't know where to start... Feel like sh!t, but Portugal outplayed us, just wish it didn't come down to a shoot out. What a sh!tty way to leave a tournament.

Lampard's goal was tremendous.

There were a few Portugese fans at the pub, but one tit right near me started yelling "lovely human!" every time Beckham came on screen after the loss. I told him if he didn't shut up and leave we'd drag him round the back. He shut up and left.

Thanks for the tip. They refunded me the whole amount for this game, $24.95, even though I ordered the whole package for $179 which comes out to a lot less than $24.95 per game.


edit: The person on the phone knew right away what happened with the cut-off so I guess I was not the first person to call.
