Germany is a typical Tournament team, they're always good for a surprise and there's a History between Germany and Holland so...
Agreed, but it's about time that Germany got found out as a poor team. The rivalry with Holland obviously gave them an edge in the first game before Van Nistlerooy got the Dutch out of jail (great finisher BTW) but I was never in any doubts that they'd struggle against Latvia and the Czechs (I would love to have seen the Czech first team play the Germans!)

Still - great tournament so far, I really hope the Danes can pull out a result tonight.....
True, they're not having such a great team anymore but did you see the game against the Czechs? They could've easily scored a couple goals(if they had better players to begin with), they had some good chances.

But yeah, the tournament is awesome so far and it will be even better when the Dutch won it

A decent finisher would have won them the game but they only have one player who would get near most International squads (Ballack) - but if all the Czech regulars were playing it would have been vastly different.

Looking forward to the Portugal/Holland semi-final next week, that should be a great game!

True, forgot that the Czech played with the second team yeah, they would have been toast if they played with the first team.

Yep, hope it's better than the game yesterday...

Yeah, it wasn't the best (very inconsiderate of my ISP to screw my connection then!) but I'm hoping for a very open game tonight, as well as between Portugal/Holland later in the week

Sand has been struggling with a thigh muscle strain, but Olsen is hopeful that other injury problems facing Dennis Rommedahl and Martin Jørgensen will clear up in time for them to participate. "We still have doubts about three players," the Denmark coach said. "There are question marks with Rommedahl and Jørgensen - and a very big question mark with Sand. All three have muscle problems. And when playing against an opponent like the Czechs, Ebbe will have to be 100 per cent fit."

BBC are saying that Sand will definitely be out but Rommedahl and Jorgensen should be fit - I really hope so!

Probably not.

They are apparently going to show Copa America here but I will be gone to Moncton for 5 weeks so I will probably miss them all.

As for the European league threads, I left ATOT for quite a while because I got fed up with idiots crapping on any football thread I make. However, ndee and I do occasionally create a couple of Champions League threads although they only last for about 5 posts. I will most likely leave ATOT again after Euro.

I just noticed that the Copa America coverage in Canada is not bad at all. Now I don't know. I will have to try to catch them all.

That's a shame - this thread seems to have been going really well. I'll definitely look out for any Champs League threads

I don't have to be around for football threads to be alive at ATOT.

I am now very tempted to follow Copa America, although I am supposed to focus all my energy on studying French while I am at Moncton.

I will likely not have access to Telelatino (the only Canadian channel showing Copa America) nor a computer, but I will probably try to catch a couple of big games (i.e. Argentina vs. Uruguay! ) at a local pub.

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!

I'm a Liverpool supporter and am enjoying Milan's performance.

Just think, the top goal scorer in the European championship was kept out of the Liverpool side by Emile Heskey! Thank goodness Houllier isn't here anymore, well played Milan, hope ya get your hat-trick!

No kidding man. I follow the English league quite closely and I haven't even heard of Baros until this Euro!

I think I heard his name mentioned in the news here and there but that's about it. No wonder Liverpool f*cked up. At least they kept Baros, got a new coach and might qualify for the Champions League next year.
