It doesn't really matter what will happen. If OSU loses the OSU apologists will just say it's because Beanie wasn't 100% or not playing. If they win (god I hope not), we'll never hear the end of it, at least until they get their third beatdown in the NC game.
That's the difference between these two dumb teams.
Ohio State loses a game, their fans thump their chest just as hard, and for what reason... Geeze.
USC loses a game, and 20% of their fan base myseriously dissapears.
Both pathetic if you ask me.
So using your logic, last year USC would have had a 40% drop in fan base...rite...
what's really pathetic is how USC drops the ball on the most ridiculous of ridiculous games
And then ends up owning everybody but Texas at the rose bowl...
I made up a statistic... you should understand that just fine, you're from cali after all.
My point remains. Fair-weather fan hippies... If that's not you, then don't get so upset about it.
I am guessing that you are an LSU fan by your avatar.
So, do you have any other borderline retards itching to get drafted this year?
Jamarcus Russel is freaking hilarious, and hes not even trying!
Well, born and raised in Baton Rouge, and an LSU alumni. So yep, LSU fan.
Oh, a Jamarcus Russel insult! I'm an LSU fan, not a Jamarcus "mememe" Russel fan.
BTW, My school (Yes, my school.. I'm alumni) has two crystal footballs, how many does your team have?
Both of LSU's BCS wins were won in thier own backyard, with suspect calls in their favor both times.
I'm not sure i'd be terribly proud of that.
I'm very proud of my teams
solid 2 wins.
As an OSU fan it's understandable for you to be bitter about constantly not having much to be happy about for the past 3 seasons.
Go ahead, thump your empty chest a little bit more there pal.
EDIT: On second thought, lets dig a little deeper. Enlighten me on these "suspect calls".
Hey, as a Buckeye, I'm proud enough of the fact that we got that two years in a row. Most teams can't even say that. Yeah, we dropped the ball both times. Against Florida we simply played for shit, and against LSU, I don't know what happened, but we didn't look our best out there.
Sure, I'd love to have seen OSU walk away with the Crystal both years, or even one of the years.
For some reason, its interesting why everyone proclaims how much a team sucks, even when it got to the Championship game, and put up a decent fight (38-24 isn't a blowout). I root for conference teams to win, even with some of my best friends who either just hate Ohio State or are Michigan fans, would love nothing else than to see other conference teams lose... I don't get that, but whatever.
It definitely matters that OSU goes cold for a longer time than SEC teams when going into the Championship, but I won't use that as an end all excuse, as it is only a small factor.
Oh, and this whole transitive property being touted in this thread...
it's a bullshit idealist statistic. OSU, for some reason, plays for shit against the SEC, I'll admit. But yet, we've never had a difficult time contending with the Pac 10. So if the Pac10 is better than the SEC, and Ohio State can beat Pac10 teams more often than SEC teams... what do you make of that? Hell if I know.
