Canucks look for Star status

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks try to stay unbeaten on the road when they continue a four-game trip against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.
Vancouver improved to 4-0-2 on the road with Monday's 4-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Markus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi each had a goal and two assists as the Canucks killed of six of Colorado's seven power plays. The Canucks opened their trip with a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday and complete it against the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.
Dan Cloutier stopped 24 shots in his 200th career game to improve to 5-4-3 this season. Cloutier was in the nets in Vancouver on October 26, when Brenden Morrow scored two third-period goals to lead the Stars to a 4-1 victory.
Dallas followed that win with a 4-3 overtime victory at Edmonton on October 28, but are 0-1-1-1 in three games since. On Sunday, the Stars blew a pair of one-goal leads and settled for a 3-3 tie with the Detroit Red Wings. Ulf Dahlen scored twice for Dallas, which is 1-1-3 in overtime. Mike Modano had the other goal for the Stars on Sunday and has six goals and nine assists on the season.
Vancouver has split its last eight games at Dallas, with the Canucks outscoring the Stars, 26-22.
