I do expect Retail box versions to arrive sooner than the 20th, especially for current pre-orders. I will post more exact dates once these are provided to me.

I also expect more 3700+ and 4000+ OEM cpus early next week.

... back to making sure cpus go out the door!

Wasn't this originally supposed to be the 2nd???? That's like a full 3 weeks late.

I ordered mine pretty early, so is my order gonna ship a little after the 2nd, or did AMD drop the ball AGAIN and not ship?
I'm getting so sick of AMD with these bull$hit paper launches.

I don't know how many times I've seen "paper launch" when people are talking about these new Rev. E CPU's and it's annoying.
So where is this "launch?" It's not on AMD's website that's for certain. The only thing that was said was that they were shipping Revision E CPU's (and that's not on AMD's site either). That doesn't mean that you're going to be able to go online that second and order them, it means that they start shipping them to suppliers, who in turn start shipping to retailers. Most US suppliers wanted to sell more stock on current CPU's before they started shipping these out so they held them longer than most everyone else.

If you are getting this bent about a computer processor, you really need to get out more often.

Got my email that Monarch is shipping my 3000+ Venice & it will be here Monday via Fed Ex. Rats, took my vacation at the wrong time. Maybe I can leave a note & a bribe for the Fed Ex guy to leave it anyway. They do want you to sign for it though even if you have a signature release on file. Other than that I will have to drive all the way down to to depot & pick it up in the evening. Maybe the bribe will work.

Gents, I'm happy to report that after 6 hours of fussing with the system that these Venice cores are looking pretty SWEET.

First pass at OCing and I'm stable at 2.750GHz @ 1.50Vcore

I'll try more tomorrow after I get some shut eye.

I just got my shipping notice and tracking # on my 3700+ SD, coming monday!

Beer for everyone! :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Yep, got mine too. In Monday.
When did you order your 3700 san diego, hoping to get mine too

I ordered mine back in the mists of time, on 4/15, as soon as I heard about Monarch's original ship dates of 5/6. Nice to get it a week beforehand. Glad I jumped on it. It's exciting to be among the first to try out a new class of CPU!

Well, it was a busy day indeed. I do hope that I didn't miss anyone that had emailed me on these cpus. I appreciate all the kind words that I've seen in here, it makes it all worthwhile. I hope everyone has a safe weekend, and please, try not to fry the cpu.

Thanks for helping this community out Joe, even though I bought my chip from your competition, I give you props. I'm impressed by how you guys responded to Newegg's "coup" so I may just head over to your place when I'm ready to place my next bet at the CPU races

Now, get some sleep!!

All documents say 2T with 4 sticks, but they are capable of running at DDR400. IT seems that some people have been able to run 4 sticks at 1T over at xtreme systems, so it may just depend.

They are coming. I had to do a complete system re-install this morning b/c the system was rebooting everytime there was an access to one of my PATA hard drives, even when the system was clocked BELOW the default 2.2GHz.

Traced the problem to the nVidia hard disk drivers in the 6.39 unified driver package. I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone avoid installing them.

Whoa, that's scary brent, I got practially an identical system and my CPU is coming in on monday. I was thinking of installing the nForce4 Standalone Kit, but I wonder if that includes HD drivers, and whether there is a way to avoid installing them specifically. What are you planning to do? Not install nForce4 drivers at all? How bad is that...

Actually, when you run the install for the 6.39 drivers, you can de-select the IDE drivers. Do this and you will be fine.

I just finished some hard core overclocking on this baby. Not finished yet, but 2.805GHz stable (11 x 255HTT - - memory @ 215.8MHz b/c it sucks).

Super Pi calculated to 32M in 27:12. Not too shabby.

I've read reviews that have said the new cores should handle 4 sticks at 1T, and at 400 instead of 333.
