I'm waiting on these too, I'm finally making the jump from a p4 1.5ghz with 256rdram lol.. what a jump it will be. I just noticed on several of the sites that froogle comes up with when searching for ada3200bpbox, they list the "Retail Price" or MSRP at $233, and a couple also listed the ETA as 4/18/05. Obviously the MSRP is always on the mid to high side, and one of the sites had it listed for pre-order at just over $200USD. I guess it's all speculation though at this point and we'll just have to wait and see. After 4 years with this system, this last week or two is gonna be the longest.

My sentiments exactly. I've researched the A64 to death (been well over a year and a half) and finally made the decision to "stick it out" for the Venice core.

A64 3500 or 3800 for me, though.

Just as an FYI. I just called Monarch and they still don't have an ETA. I'm getting tired of waiting! Who knows, it may be a month before these things start showing up!

Of the nine current Froogle hits for the 3500+, Sparco still appears to have the best price of $280. And they now show an ETA of April 18 for all four Venice core CPUs.

so does that mean the a8n-e premium is finally coming out? the reply said a8n-e but you said a8n-e premium. plenty of retailers already have the a8n-e in stock.

Is there really an A8N-E Premium coming? If non, then I'll just pair that coming Venice with DFI-Ultra D or DR. My OCZ 520W is sitting here cold and lonely.

EDIT..........Oh, and BTW......it was apparently a Mom & Pop shop without web ordering so don't get all excited......

Bottom Line Telecommunications, Sparco and ComputerHQ have 4-18 as the ETA for all their respective warehouses. BLT says they'll ship the part as soon as it arrives.

How are the ratings on those places? I'm going to order but still believe waiting for NewEgg, ZZF, Monarch would possibly get me the chip just as fast as "preordering" from a place I'm unsure of. All of the 3 I mentioned I know will deliver to my house within 2 days as long as they have stock......

I'm with you on waiting until shops show actual stock on hand... for the preorder folks, Sparco has sparse but good reseller ratings. I didn't look at the others... Buy.com has a checkered past AFAIK.

I've bought from Sparco before. The transaction was faultless--and they shipped the same day I ordered. But Sparco, and a lot of those other places that a Venice search on Froogle now turns up all have their stuff drop-shipped from third-party distributors, most notably Ingram Micro (as in the case of Sparco). In fact, Sparco is virtually right across the street from a huge Ingram Micro warehouse in Millington TN. And all those warehouse locations they show in their availability database are, in fact, Ingram Micro or other third-party distribution centers.

5 of the 10 resellers that come up in froogle now have april 18th as date they expect them in their warehouse. They probably are indeed shipping out on the 15th to the resellers. Looks like some of us actually will have our venice cores before the end of next week. Was it ever decided if we'd need a new bios for these chips to work? I emailed Abit and asked but have yet to get a reply. I'm going to be very unhappy if and when my venice arrives and I find out it's not compatible with my board yet. I also might actually cry if it doesn't clock better than my newcastle.
