Monarch Joe, I wish I would have contacted you with my order earlier.
I purchased a Winchester A64 3000+, DFI Ultra-D (game promo), and logitech MX1000 Wed night 4/20. I then contacted
order@monarchcomputer.com to request my parts to be shipped unassembled so it will ship out quicker. I received an email on Thurs 4/21 at 7:30am (pacific time) from Jeremy confirming my request.
All parts showed to be in stock at time of order. Thursday and Friday passes and the parts haven't shipped. Monday passes, I send an e-mail via Monarch website to ask for the status of my shipment and received confirmation email that my email was sent to Monarch. By 3PM eastern time Tuesday, I had yet to receive a reply, so I call to see why the order hadn't shipped. btw I even checked Sat and Tuesday and the parts showed to still be in stock.
Per my conversation with Jeremy on Tues 4/26, I am notified that the A64 3000+ Winchester had been oversold. So I had to ask to upgrade my shipping to 2-Day. I was also told that the chip should arrive Wed 4/27 and my parts should ship then.
I called today seeing that it still hadn't shipped, I talked with Jeremy again and he notified me that the chip wouldn't come in until Thurs 4/28. I asked for overnight because I wanted to receive the parts by the end of the week - denied. Had I known, or been notified that there would be a week lead time on my "in stock" chip, I would'nt have put in the order. I then asked to specify Saturday delivery on the FedEx 2-Day hoping to get the parts on Sat 4/30 - denied again.
I was then offered the in stock OEM chip w/ 3-yr Monarch warranty in addition to a heatsink. Which btw is worth about $5 less than what I paid - but I won't haggle for a $5 credit.. The thing is, I would really have preferred to get the retail chip, but then I wouldn't get it until next week so I opted for the OEM w/ heatsink, which has shipped tonight and tracking has been provided.
I come back from work, browse AT forum and then I notice that some people here were upgraded to overnight when I specifically asked for it. Just wondering why I couldn't get that. Parts were shown in stock at time of order. While I was under the impression that these parts were indeed in stock and would ship in a timely manner, my card was charged on 4/21 when internally Monarch knew the lead time for the CPU was a week.
I mean, there was really no incentive or offer presented to me to compensate for the misinformation and lag of my order. And I'm surprised by this as people on this site give positive review for Monarch's customer service and Monarch Joe here seems to take care of situations like this very well. But I did not seem to receive the same experience in my case.
