I want to transfer my current number and their site says I can, but it will take 20 business days to do it and they give you a temp number in the meantime. Has anyone done this and did it really take that long? Was the process a PITA?
it took about a month actually in my experiance, but not really a
pain per se...just took a while. As soon as it transfered, they just disconnect the number from your existing service. In the meantime though, you can still use your vonage line to call people because they assign you a virtual number. Better to get it with a referral, since you technically don't pay for that month of "no service", whereas if you didn't get a referral, you'd still be paying for that month without your number.
