Against Saddam loyalists . Heavy explosions in Basra are not coming from allied forces according to BBC. Information is coming from a British embedded journalist and confirmed by British intelligence officers.

A bit OT perhaps, but there are fighter Jets overhead in NYC. Specific threat?
Really? I live in NYC and haven't much seen or heard them, not consistantly anyway. Right after 9/11 they were all over, but now I see and hear them again.

Good. I think a lot of people were hoping that some of the Iraqi units, as well as the people in general, would begin to fight against Saddam's loyalists. This might just make the job of securing Basra that much easier and perhpas much less bloody for all involved.Originally posted by: freegeeks
