This says alot without saying to much ! Read between the lines here.

Penhaul said the helicopters encountered a "heavy, heavy barrage" of anti-aircraft fire in the battle, about 60 miles south of Baghdad. He could not immediately say whether all of the U.S. helicopters returned safely.

More then likely means they took some losses.

Of course I have heard that it was 100-206 killed.

Did they say "killed" or "casualties"? Anyone WOUNDED is also counted as a Casualty, meaning they need medical attention

Uh no. If you are talking about the 4-5 POWs that were seen on TV. That wasnt a ambush on the whole convoy. That particular vehicle made a wrong turn, and then was ambushed by Iraqis wearing civilian clothing and were in pick up trucks.

There was not 100-206 killed in that ambush. Not unless there was just now another ambush on another convoy and more POWs taking.

There were 4 dead, 5 POWs and 7 dead POWs taken from that ambush.

The US never signed the treaty that banned napalm. Nor did we sign the treaty that banned land mines.
