She was also on Entourage...can't say she doesn't know her audience.

I actually don't recognize her but will look her up on imdb later.

She's the hot and horny wife of Freakshow in Harold & Kumar. She was a blond at the time, maybe that's what threw you...because, I know you're looking at her hair.

How many fun/typical superhero movies are R-rated?

The same number that will buy GTA for their 9 year old because he tells them it's a driving game. You can't fix stupid. There's more than enough info out there for any parent willing to take 5 seconds.

Supposedly those aren't really her boobs. I was watching an interview with Akerman and she said that she actually had underwear on and they CG'd the nudity.

Oh and perhaps the purpose of playing Hallelujah was praisin' the lord that guys finally get to see something other than blue penis . The movie had maaaany more shots of blue penis than the comic did... in fact, the drawings purposely had things blocking Jon's crotch in most panes or simply not "panning down" that far.

I believe she's also in 27 Dresses if I remember correctly... although I probably shouldn't admit to knowing that .

Not many but I also saw lots of kids in the theater when the wife and I went to see Blade II...another R-rated superhero movie. Not all of them stayed through the whole thing.

Never underestimate the ignorance of parents who don't take the time to find out about a film.

I went to the midnight showing and it was really disappointing. I knew there had to be changes from the book to make it work on film, but the modified plot was terrible and didn't really make any sense. The story is just too complex to be able to squeeze it into a 2.5 hour movie, the book is really character driven and there just wasn't enough time to get in all the necessary scenes to properly develop the characters. Rorschach was done best, but I feel like he was still missing a few integral bits. The ending doesn't justify the Comedian losing it in the beginning, it'd take something a lot more fucked up than what happened to make him cry like that. His character was really well played, but the two important things he did didn't seem to really fit into the movie (the rape thing seemed like an afterthought). The action scenes were all pretty boring, with the exception of Rorschach's prison scenes which were probably the best part of the movie, they were absolutely perfect. The acting was good all around and it looked really pretty, but the plot was weak and the characters weren't developed enough to carry the movie. The ending was absolutely terrible, and it seemed really dragged out (with the exception of Roschach's final scene which was amazingly done).

Yeah, he was supposed to have flown over the island after coming back from a mission and saw the crazy shit that was going down.

I mean, they were able to pull some things out of the story well enough. Like the fact that Rorschach actually visits Moloch's house three times in the comic as they removed the second meeting. Which is kind of a bummer, 'cause I wanted to see him jump out of the fridge . They adapted that by putting the Pyramid pension check on his table.

Yeah, I'm still not happy about the changes to the ending. I've heard all the excuses and reasonings but they just don't resonate with me.

Avoid reading this review if you haven't read the comic. Out of the four posted, this is the only one that spoils the end of the movie (literally... even makes sure to point out that it occurs at the climax).

EDIT:

Heh, now that I finished reading the review, it spoils even more at the bottom .

I just read that. That guy is an idiot - he has no clue about the comic he's writing about.

Wasn't the final boss in DMC 4 a giant (grey...er gray) statue?

I feel like the movie would have been even weaker had I not read the comic first, I was able to fill in gaps and backstory myself instead of being confused by what was going on. I would recommend anyone who hasn't read it to do so before seeing it, the end of the book is amazing and really comes out of nowhere. The movie besides for having the crappier ending also uses too much foreshadowing and it isn't as unexpected as it is in the book. Reading the ending of the book won't have the same effect if you've already seen the movie, that goes both ways I guess, but I think it's a lot more hard hitting in the book and makes for a better experience.

That's good to hear, having read it first I'm unable to know what it's like without having read it. I wish I could have experienced it both ways.

/shrug... I liked it. The fight scenes were awesome. I have very low expectations, and the movie had me interested the whole 3 hours. A bit too much Mr. Manhattan cock though, but the steamy scene inside the Owl made up for it. And LOL at the end, I can see why it got all the critics' panties all bunched up 'cause few other movies had the balls to do it. People, it's a fucking comic book, it doesn't have to follow your real life done to death formula.

He was naked in the book, he was naked in the movie. In the scenes where he appears in public as a crimefighter he's wearing the black "V" shaped briefs, otherwise he's wearing a suit. Exactly the same in the book.

I really don't understand why Americans are bothered by a little nudity yet graphic violence is no big deal? Frankly I thought a little blue cock was the least of this film. I really enjoyed it (the movie that is, not the blue cock ).

Read the book earlier this week; thought it was great. Saw the movie tonight (with girlfriend and another friend who haven't seen it) we all thought it was great. A near perfect adaptation of the book. I badly want to see it again.

Anybody who says the movie is bad is that token shit head that has to flat out hate any hyped up movie. Disregard their words. (see post above mine).

I can't get over how true to the book the movie was, not only that, it was incredibly captivating and entertaining.

Watchmen > The Dark Knight.

Rorshach > Any other comic book character.
