I really think the Seattle - Philly game is going to be good, but I think Seattle will win. It is pretty much a must win for them to hope a playoff run. They are competing with Dallas, Detroit, and SF (to an extent) for a wildcard spot. I'm sure they'd much rather not. With Arizona stumbling, this is Seattle's chance to take the NFC West and not have to worry about that. They also could use a conference win to help them, as they've lost the head to head against Dallas.

Going with pretty safe picks. Yes I am picking Oakland because PROVE ME WRONG 49ER'S.
SD could give NE a good game, but still think NE gets the job done. I wonder how badly GB is going to destroy Atlanta?

Finally a proper thread for Week 14 I will paste my run down on the Seattle @ Philly game. The TLDR is the Seattle Offense and Philly Defense have a bit of take in league rankings but while the Philly Offense is very good the "struggling" Seattle Defense is better, ranking better in 11 of 13 categories. Philly is playing better than their season stats but Seattle has also been playing better than their season rankings. Should be a good game. Special teams and turnovers may be the difference. Seattle special teams are no longer special compared to last year. But Philly loves to give up the ball (#32) and Seattle rarely gives up the ball (#2).

It will be a tough game in Philly but if Seattle (away game, east coast, cold) so turnovers will be key. If I was Chip I would focus on ball security this week and run. Keep the Seattle defense on the field with long, deliberate drives to wear them out and make the Seattle offense feel as if they need to throw more than they like. While I think Sanchez could get some big plays I think leaving him on a long leash opens up Philly for some nasty turnovers which could prove devastating. As I said in the other thread:

As a Hawk fan I would be very concerned about Philly except, you know, Sanchez. I think Seattle has a good chance to pull out a tough W on the road against a good 9-3 Philly team.

Question: How much of what San Fran did to Philly applies to the Seattle matchup? Seattle is quicker and imo tougher than San Fran right now so will that aspect of the matchup pose problems?

I think it can be a competitive game, but I do think Seattle wins. Obviously the coaching and game plan by Chip Kelly is massively better than what Sanchez had with the Jets, and there's a focus on quick reads and the run game. However, Sanchez still shows every game that his judgement is terrible under pressure and he will have to throw the ball under pressure. I fully expect him to throw 2-3 interceptions that turn what could have been a close game to a relatively easy Seattle victory.

ban bot should work for Nate Silver!

I also think that the Seattle defense should beat them in the one on one matchups.

Glad bears lost that game. Didnt need any more meaningless wins. Will be glad if they just play competive while getting young guys experience. Ola looked terrible yesterday. Long looked good and should be playing LT from this point on so he can get ready for next year. Bushrod at RT and bears should be better on oline. Dallas had a better oline and played better on both sides of the ball on the lines.

My number 1 takeaway from this season is a pro bowl oline will get you really far these days.

Winning the war in the trenches usually means winning the game. When you can dictate what you can do with play action and draw plays; it open up so much more of the game. Goes both ways, if you can get pressure with 4 guys up front, you have that much more bodies for coverage.

Winning the war in the trenches usually means winning the game. When you can dictate what you can do with play action and draw plays; it open up so much more of the game. Goes both ways, if you can get pressure with 4 guys up front, you have that much more bodies for coverage.

No wonder so many teams use their first pick to draft either offensive or defensive linemen. Even an average QB can throw a completion with enough time in the pocket.

Marshall still in the hospital and the NFL investigating why Romo wasn't on the injury report for broken ribs he's apparently had for 2 months. I knew he was hiding an injury!

I predict some minor upsets this week with the Chiefs beating the Cardinals, the Seahawks beating the Eagles, and the Chargers beating the Patriots.

However, Sanchez still shows every game that his judgement is terrible under pressure and he will have to throw the ball under pressure. I fully expect him to throw 2-3 interceptions that turn what could have been a close game to a relatively easy Seattle victory.

Except he won't if Shady and Sproles, behind the now largely healthy Philly O-line, get them a lead while simultaneously opening up some room for some safe(r) play action passes.

I do expect (errrr, hope?) that the stout Iggles run defense will contain Lynch like they contained the league-leading Demarco Murray. And I don't think Wilson can beat them through the air. One huge wild card will be Wilson extending plays and gaining yards with his feet, though.

Unless Seattle gets off to a more than one score lead, I just don't foresee Sanchez being forced to throw into the teeth of their secondary, nor do I forsee any "easy Seattle victory."

But, eh, I've been wrong before.

All in all, should be a really good game.

unless he's missing practice time, don't think there is a requirement for him to be listed.

The Panthers are just shaming the Saints. I wonder if the Panthers are better than they seem or the Saints are worse than they seem.

Either way, it's a rout, just like my fantasy football game

Doesn't appear to be the case:

According to the NFL's injury report policy, "All players with significant or noteworthy injuries must be listed on the report, even if the player takes all the reps in practice, and even if the team is certain that he will play in the upcoming game."

if cundiff hadnt missed that 40 yarder, browns might have actually pulled off the upset against the colts

hoyer has 9 interceptions and 0 touchdowns in the last 6 games. wow.

I think the Brian Hoyer era is at a end. After all the talk if he should start and him talking himself up and ends the game with a sub 50 QB ratings and throws a INT in the last 30seconds to seal their lose. If he gets another start then the Browns deserve what will come from that.

i honestly believe that the browns will never pull it together in my lifetime

they are cursed, and will never win a super bowl as long as the NFL exists
The defense looked pretty damn good for a while. Just couldn't hold on, but the Colts are a good team

Well he's not wrong in many regards. He should have been let go when the new coach came in. How can you coach a team and not have even basic control. Now there is talk the new head coach may be out as he does not want to put all his eggs in the RG3 basket.

oh i know, i LOVE what london fletcher did. he's one of my favorite redskins of all time. he played with haslett so he knows it inside and out. he's saying stuff that we as fans ahve been saying for YEARS so it's nice that it got out this big from a former player.
