Bobbling the ball doesn't make him defenseless, he had his head turned and was looking at Browner when the hit happened.

Yup, perfect explanation of why it was a bogus call, Browner wanted no part of helmet to helmet contact, pulled his head back so it didn't happen and still got flagged. At some point you have to let football be football, now we all know Browner's reputation but he did not commit a penalty on that play IMO, hell I've seen Welker take worse shots than that many times without a flag ever being thrown.

Eagles definitely got the short end of the stick from the refs today, but they also got beaten by a Seattle team that was the better than them today.

I suppose that's karma from the refs handing the Eagles the game against the Colts earlier this year. :awe:

Freaking Miami choked.

10-0 and then all went down hill fast. And now the Pats is coming back and winning. If Miami keeps playing like they did today, they will stay home again this season.

What's the word on Philbin? Is it likely they're going to fire him?

The 69ers have the same players and coaches from last season.
And? You know people can suddenly stop trying, right? There is no way you can look at all the weapons they have on offense and their poor offensive performance and not think coaching and/or play calling isn't a huge problem. I also blame Kaep at this point because I've seen him play better. Again, I give him a tiny bit of a pass because the OL has under-performed this year, but that doesn't excuse his sudden chronic inaccuracy.

some of these games this weekend looked like preseason. So many missed reads and fits.

Glad the bears lost this weekend. Bears really need to lose out for a pick. I cant tell you how many years bears have won meaningless games and end up drafting players like Cade Mcnown the next year.

There are six cant miss blue chip prospects this year so the bears will pick 7th or 8th like usual....

Is it too early to make a 2015 offseason thread? I want to start talking about the huge free agency were about to hit. More starters will hit free agency this year than any other probably. TONS of starters not just Suh and Cobb and the corner from San diego.

Sorry, hit the edit button instead of the quote button on your reply above, my bad.

Anyway, eh, my take is always that you have to account for some margin of ref error and take it in stride. If your team lost, your team LOST . . . get over it, you know? If a team can't overcome a call or two that goes against them, so sorry, but in general, that's life for adults.

Over the course of a season, this shite tends to even out. Why live in the past and unnecessarily increase your Kleenex count over it? <shrug>

London Fletcher going in on the Redskins is just another reason Snyder is going to fire a lot of people. Fletcher always seemed like a good guy, willing to talk and joke. I know he referred himself (in reference to his Pro Bowl alternate status) to Susan Lucci. She was like constantly nominated for an Emmy, and finally won after 19 (I had to look up the actual number).

So, does the world 'asplode if Atlanta somehow manages to beat Green Bay?

Green Bay is due for a let down. Would probably be good for them before the run to the playoffs.

I think its unlitmately goona be a good thing for seattle to have faced the adversity they had this year. They had really bad line play for a while and that seems better and its making other phases play better.

I am actually surprised GB has played as well as they have after seeing their offernsive live early in the year. Bulaga seems to have saved his career.

That's what they call comedy gold.

Seattle @ Eagles.

* Refs stink. Seriously. Stupid missed calls and bad calls. On the bright side, they're not the replacement refs who are worse.
* Seattle played a mistake free game and that's what won it for them.
* Eagles defense. Bent but didn't break. Played a really solid game.
* Eagles offense. Let me know when they get on the field so I can judge them. Wait...game's over? WTF happened to the offense? They forget there was a game today?

Beast Mode did have that fumble. But the pick right after made most people forget about it.

There were a couple missed calls but:

A. Was not a factor in the outcome.
B. There have been waaayyyy too many flags this season over all, so I'd rather have them miss a few than have a bunch of phantom calls.

If they were playing in Atlanta maybe. Butt he defense and O-line have been awful. Let alone play calling and time management.
Atlanta has a lot of great pieces in their team but they need to have a new head coach and staff take over.

So I doubt they will win and I say that as a Atlanta Fan.

Oh and is Rex Ryan really that great a coach? I see reports Blanks, owner of Falcons, is hoping to get him for next season?
I keep thinking Rex will be fired but ever time I hear that I hear 2-3 teams want him as well. But rumor is he said he would not accept a defensive coordinator job, only HC.

Rex is a good coach and he predicted the teams struggles when they didnt resign their corners who have left the last few years. If Rex becomes a DC I would it to be in Chicago however

I would love it if the bears demoted trestman to OC assist HC and brought in Rex to coach his brother as DC.

Now if this was also hard knocks I wouldnt leave the living room for the preseason.

I really hate the playoff rules. Right now, Dallas is out because Detroit and Seattle have similar records and they all don't have head to heads. Dallas should be ahead of Seattle. They beat them. Ugh...

And conference record is BS. Dallas has more conference games than Seattle, and will finish the season with more.

Would be a much different game against Seattle today with everyone healthy and the D clicking.

And it doesn't help Dallas' case that they lost to Philly last week.

Seattle also lost to St. Louis, who Dallas also beat. And, who cares about everyone healthy and clicking. Had Tony Romo been healthy, Dallas had a very good chance of beating Arizona. The Dallas D really played well and their O was just awful under Weeden. But, who cares about that?

The wildcard set up is stupid in the event of a 3+ way tie and all don't have head to head games. Seattle with an identical record as Dallas should lose to them, regardless of other teams. The tie breaker should be head to head, and Seattle loses that.

Two things I told my friend who is a Raider fan last week after we lost to Seattle, one we'd make the Raiders look good next week and two Carr (who I am a fan off because he's from Fresno State, aka home town boy) will post better stats than Kaep.

Shocking, both happened.

I think I saw 1 single throw from Kaep yesterday where the WR didn't have to either a) sell out, stretch/jump to catch the ball or b) stop, turn around/slow up to catch the ball meaning they have zero chance of any yards after the catch (not to mention all the garbage throws that no one had any chance of catching).

I don't know who our back up is, but at this point I'd rather see that person play than Kaep next week. If Seattle isn't favored by more than 30 points, I may put money on the Seahawks because the 49ers team that showed up the last two weeks is going to be an absolute POUNDING next week up there.

I don't disagree with you. The NFL should look at changing that during the offseason.

Lots of football to be played though. Just win more games than Philly and this will be moot. I would love to have Seattle meet them in the playoffs to avenge that loss.
