Bears have done a great job putting weapons around Cutler - except for a fucking o-line. He's taken a lot of sacks - at 36 this year, and 2 games to go still. He could break his record of 52 in a year if he was playing. In his 6 years with the Bears, he's taken 203 sacks - David Carr took 249 in 5 years for the Texans.

Cutler needs a clean pocket totally agree with you. This year however he has exposed his line more often than Carr did and he held the ball way too long back then. Cutler this last game had 4 sacks because he didnt step up or didt get rid of the ball when protection broke down. Cutler hasnt audbled correctly all year. Early in the year he was audbling out of running plays and when he got yelled at for that he stopped checkin out of plays he should have. He has totally sabotaged the team leading to 3 losses. If he had played smartly and didnt turn the ball over those games the bears would be in the playoff hunt.


Cutler and Briggs this year have ACTIVELY sabotaged their teams with play and attitude. It quietly came out that the Conte play last year that lost the game against the packers wasnt Contes fault at all. Briggs audibled into a coverage that didnt exist in that package hanging the safety out to dry. Briggs NEVER took responsibility until he did it AGAIN to conte this year. We know this because trestman and the DC told the press. Since then Briggs quit on the team.



Many pundits are saying this is a weak draft class and there arent many top 15 Qbs out there. ICF has aptly compared Cutlet to Jeff George.

Wait wait wait - you can't hang losses squarely on a QB when his WRs can't get open (because they've been injured all season) and the defense doesn't do shit. The Bears defense has been so terrible that it's forcing their offense to play more than normal. Getting slammed for making an audible is going to get a QB to play a lot more passively. Totally agree with you again. Never have I said it was solelys Cutlers fault. I was even called a cutler apologist a few times. The oline has been awful. Just last week I told Larry Mayer that I was gonna tell Kyle Long on twitter that he didnt think Long can play LT or RT. Bears Oline has been awful this year. No doubt about that. Cutlet however hasnt helped himself. If you look in the previous week football threads I have time and time again called out the Oline for being awful. Bushrod is a descending player. Mills has trouble with speed off the edge and doesnt do well with stunts. Ola was doing well but he got hurt and last Groy did mediocre at best.

Losing Slau for essentially the whole year is why the oline is bad. He was the gell and our center has no knee cartiledge.


Now lots of receivers have been open this year. Alshon and Unicorn have been getting open just fine. Cutler hasnt gotten the ball to them early in games. Hes b
