I recognized Snoop and Beckham, but should I have recognized any other non-Star-Wars character?

The guy who shoots Greedo was in Tropic Thunder, Daft Punk are talking to Han Solo, Franz Beckenbauer the great German soccer player has the eye patch on in the back ground, Noel Gallagher of Oasis is in one clip, there's a few others...

ESPN is reporting Altidore went full speed in 5 v 2's training yesterday without the ankle being wrapped and he felt fine. As much as I complain about Altidore, he's definitely an asset and we're a different side without him.

I'd link the source but of course everything sports-related is blocked at work.

Is he any good? just looked him up and for a striker he sure doesn't score very often professionally

Morocco, I believe.

Yeah Morocco indeed, they f*7cing stink and their coach was rotten and the players lack patriotism (says my old man anyways ...lol). They can careless about the National Team... some of them refused to play during qualification because the team wasn't good enough and it would hurt their image when it comes to recruiting to play for La Liga or Premier League. Those who go on the pitch play with the mind set of .. I am not getting hurt over this... I make way more money staying healthy playing in Europe.
The talent is there, but not good organization and team mentality among players...enough ranting.
I can't speak for all the player but I do know some had to go to court for refusing to play for National team... the coach got fired after losing to Mozambique or some crap like that.

I think the US is in for a fight, I would be very impressed if they qualify and win a round... highly doubtful, Algeria will put up a fight I think.

Koreans are sticky team and will not be walked all over.

Teams I want eliminated right the way: France, Italy...and England because it would mean USA and Algeria are in.

He led the US team in scoring during qualifying with 6 goals but only scored 1 goal for Hull in the premier League in 30 appearances this season. He's good, but he is no Wayne Rooney.

Perhaps, but the US fortunes rise and fall with Dempsey anyway...

I agree mostly

bradley dempsey and donovan are the key on the US squad

when they work well together we all do better, support from guys like cherundolo bocanegra onyewu altidore is what makes us play with brazil and beat spain

This is the World Cup I would not be talking about US beating Spain or hanging with Brazil... last World Cup they hyped the US team so much, and it was a total fail.. I recall the media discussing the US winning the World Cup...now that is just being something more than homers.
US has a team that you can count on scoring 1-2 goals on a several teams, but I don't see them dominating the pitch and controlling games with defense and ball possession for example. They lack the ability to control game tempo with good teams, it is easy for them to get out the zone and become and really shitty team as we seen last world cup.. I hope I making sense here...

it would make MORE sense with some grammar

yes its easy for them to play shitty and dissapoint, but did you watch the confederations cup?

We will miss Davies for sure, but they can obviously do quite well then get there act together.

It should be a huge dissapointment to everyone if the USA does not hit the round of 16, and that could put us at best against what looks like a struggling German team with their 3rd keeper starting

Exactly. This is because their technical abilities are terrible. They can't dominate possesion because they can't pass...The first touches are terrible.

USA centric Schedule

the notes about us making it to the quarters and semi's are just to aide planning down the road for knowing when I might take off work

using an estimated 50 hours time off, been banking comp time since October

defintately a bit broad but pretty accurate

the supporting players are very rough around the edges, most have one great skill and are OK everywhere else, and with bradley, that seems to be speed speed speed speed speed

I will certainly be cheering for all African nations to win, not necessarily because I am African ...but because I know the joy it will bring to the people, and I feel that the joy and pride they would get out of their national team is much needed than other places in the world. A win would make many people smile and forget agonies of life for a moment.

Otherwise I am cheering the US don't you worry about that ... I call this place home too, and I want nothing more than repeatedly hearing that national anthem echo thru the globe for a month... I just have my doubts it will happen. As I said before I know the US team will leave it all out there, and will play with a big heart and pride... I won't be too disappointed watching them I don't think.

I did see the confed cup, sometime when you play like you are wearing a uniform and with a little luck you get places ...

That is a very good observation the first touch is far far below world class in my opinion. How ever their counter attacking is decent, and offense in general is not too shabby.

Completely OT... So I tried out the recording function of the SA 6131 HD Sat receiver. For some stupid fucking reason if you plug in or unplug the USB hdd, the receiver box has to do a complete reboot cycle including rechecking satellites and downloading the whole guide. What part of plug and play did they not understand? All they have to do is pre-empt recording/playback functions...
