id damn sure be surprised if that many were african but *shrug*

i dont expect england to win, im rooting for them anyway and expecting spain to take the cup. they did rather well last time and some of their players have gotten a lot of great pro experience since then.

The good news: the World Cup is back.
The bad news: I'm working a tour from June through the end of July! I'll have to find some random bar in each city or hope it's on TV in my hotel room.

I doubt you'll have a problem considering the billions that watch it worldwide.

Also, Go USA and Germany! Wooo!

England is going to crush the US. Maybe someone will break Donovan's legs too. I can only hope.

Poor South Africa. Their excitement about hosting the world cup will soon be crushed when their team loses the first game.

Born in England raised in the US. I'll be flying both St. George's Cross and US flags.

Same, I am going to be in some bar belligerently drunk wearing a half a dozen team shirts I will peel off as the game progresses. Either that or it'll be an England shirt and a USA cap. Either way, I'll be the drunkest slob in the place...

I think they start either early morning (7am eastern time), mid morning (10am) or afternoon (2:30pm) so it doesn't look like I'll have to change my sleeping pattern

depends on what US team shows up

the one that beat spain and almost held on against brazil or the one that lost to shitty teams like T&T
Hey! At least we made it to the last world cup. The smallest nation to ever qualify for it! :awe:

After Ireland got screwed out of the World Cup, I will boycot this one
If that's the case you should have boycotted all since Maradona's "hand of god" incident.

Me too! Not sure who I want to win...maybe Spain. I was in Spain when they won the Euro Cup and it was off the hook. Great fun!

You guys have no idea how saddened I am with the fact that my country misses the third world cup in the row :/ it is way too competitive for African nations ... they get like 5 spots for all 54 countries in Africa...this year they get 6 because South Africa is hosting... I am not sure this is fare, maybe... just sucks not to be able to cheer on my country. I will be cheering for the US however and they better f**cking make me proud this time... last time was an embarrassment after so much hype. I do believe they have the heart to beat England, Algeria, and that other country (can't remember) ... and that is what I love the most about US team is they play with a lot of heart and pride.

That would be a great historic moment... I doubt it tho because the refs start to be a little unjust. The reason I say so, from what I remember.... take a look at Cameroon the year of 1986 or 84 cant remember, the ref called a penalty shot against them and it clearly wasn't and there goes the hope for a whole continent...lol
Cote D'ivoire is probably the only chance we have..

Big time... I would almost rule Germany out for winning the cup... Ballack is their experienced leader, kick taker, and captain I believe ... so yeah they're out.
