Yeah, I can't believe Switzerland beat Spain, but can't even score against Honduras
They had 3 shots against Spain. THREE!! Luck of the draw that one went in...

No, too many fatties in the US.
Ghana will not be easy. However, Uruguay will be a REALLY tough nut to crack. The have a stout defense and to top it off, their SECOND best striker scored ~49 goals last season in the Dutch league. Compare that to Altidore's 1 in the Premier League. I figure you hope for 0-0 and take them on penalties. Still it is possible and Brazil looks shakier than I have ever seen them.ok, so what's our chances in the upcoming rounds?
the office soccer experts here say we can take ghana and uruguay no problem, and should meet brazil in the semi's.
can we make it to the finals and win it all?
It just get's better in Italy

Soccer is racist!!
we need a sniper!
Meh, if you watch his knee hits his foot which causes the fall. Certainly embellished the fall but moving that fast it's unlikely he would have stayed on his feet getting clipped like that (accidental, there was no intent and shouldn't have been a card IMO).
I'm going to assume you know this is fake and that is a screenshot from the Fifa World Cup Video game. Since NIG is the symbol used for Niger and they aren't in the Cup. And Nigeria is NGA.
That did look like an unintentional ankle-tap actually. As the Chilean's knee went past the Spanish ankle, he stumbled slightly, while the Spanish guy obviously got his legs crossed over and thus fell.
Quick question for group, why does everyone keep referring to the US win the other day as the most significant moment for American soccer (or some variation thereof)? It's just something I keep seeing on the online news sites.
What about 2002 when we beat tournament favorite Portugal 3-2, Mexico in the round of 16, and nearly beat Germany in the quarters?
Don't get me wrong, I've watched Donovan's goal about 50 times and I'm really psyched about this team, but IMO they still have a long way to go before they surpass what that US squad accomplished 8 years ago in South Korea.
people can actually watch... in 2002, iirc, i had to wake up at like 4am to watch the games... not many americans would wake up that early to watch any sport, letalone soccer. this time, it's easy to watch bc it's on during the day and we have a great team.
