Gotta love that beautiful Spanish soccer, 574 passes and nothing to show for it. They better hope Chile beats the Swiss otherwise they might not see the 2nd round.
There's always an excuse with the English team
a barely missed goal is as exciting as one that goes in sometimes
I would expect that if scoring increased, the number of "barely missed goals" would increase as well.
The dearth of scoring in professional soccer seems to be no issue for its many fans, so it will not change. It doesn't do it for me though. I'd rather watch a sport like hockey which has a more reasonable number of goals, but constant attacks.
hockey doesnt seem that much more high scoring......
it doesnt help that this is a semingly low scoring world cup so far, and the end of the stanley cup saw plenty of goals.
hockey and soccer are probably the closest pro sports in term of the fast change of attack/defense
There are about twice as many goals in ice hockey as there are in soccer, I think the average is around 5 goals/game. Also, keep in mind that those goals are happening in 33% less playing time (90 min vs. 60 min)

I checked, its 5.7 verse 2.7
I'd like to find out how I can score .7 goals. Can someone help me?

10 games in a season, they score 7 goals... .7 goals per game...
