yup
it could be uruguay and mexico, if mex can beat france
Well that settles it, Germany is going to win the world cup.

while a good bet, the first round isnt exactly indicative of the end result.
based on history, its safe to say that RSA, Greece, Nigeria, Algeria, Serbia, Australia, Cameroon, Denmark, N Korea, Honduras, and Spain won't win.
No team that lost its first round game has even won it all, only 3 that have lost in the frist round have ever made it to the finals.
of those that have lost, Denmark looked good, I didnt see Nigeria play, or cameroon. N Korea looked 'good', but mostly to tie alot of games
I'm on crack, I watched a hunk of that game, I didnt see Cameroon play
I watched the Cameroon game and they didn't impress me very much.
Fifa can pretty much fuck off after their ridiculous crackdown on the "orange girls"
Not only is this extremely dubious to outlaw this, but how they overreacted and roughed the girls is offensive. I will now proceed to try even harder to ignore this VM-nonsense.
hockey rinks are smaller and have boards
indoor soccer(on a hockey rink) is much higher scoring that outdoor soccer
a soccer field is 300 ft by 210 ft versus 200 ft by 85 ft for hockey.
hockey has way more substitutions, infinite versus 3, which also increase game speed
I would expect that if scoring increased, the number of "barely missed goals" would increase as well.
The dearth of scoring in professional soccer seems to be no issue for its many fans, so it will not change. It doesn't do it for me though. I'd rather watch a sport like hockey which has a more reasonable number of goals, but constant attacks.
Damn Roger Federer (Switzerland) just keeps beating Rafael Nadal (Spain).
Damn Gonzalo Higuain kicked ass. Nice to see a hat trick. I didn't watch the game, but did South Korea play that bad?
