I thought it was a penalty. He might've intended to go for the ball, but he was so late I'm not even sure he got the front of the other guy's ankles.

France are getting what they deserve. Mexico and Uruguay should just play to a draw in the next game and both move on.

I hated the guy when I was a kid because he was always scoring against Italy (and the US, where applicable). But now that he's coaching, I love the guy. He has a lot of passion for the game still, and you can tell it fuels his players.

Argentina can really make a run at this one.

no but that's not unexpected when you think about it, and i agree they can make a run for it, everyone was kinda ruling them out because maradonas kinda crazy but they are a massively talented and underrated team.

If the Germans play as well in their next game as they did against the auzzies they are gonna be a force to be reckoned with. at this point they have been the best team at using/exploiting the width of the field to their advantage
