It's frankly always been pretty infuriating to me that commentators, analysts, and the like can point out mistakes players make all they want, but umpires seem to have this shield around them. We know he should have gone to second FFS, but the umpire missed an obvious call (how far up the baserunner's ass must a man stick his glove for the baserunner to be out???) right in front of his face - and this stuff happens far too often IMO.
Semi-related, I really don't understand how the ump missed that call; beyond being irritated, I'm utterly confused .
