This isn't an 'issue' I have with the movie, but I'm curiuos. Could Nightcrawler save Rogue like that? Doesn't he go into another dimension and walk around to 'teleport'? Hence the sulfer smell and the puff of smoke.

BTW, I think that the intro's for both movies have kicked ass (magneto in a concentration camp/ nightcrawler in the white house). Kinda goes downhill from there (for me) but luckily the intro's get me so excited I don't care

Yea, it's possible for him to teleport like that. I don't think that he walks around to teleport, but i like how the movie didn't fudge his powers and make it so he could teleport any and everywhere (Referring to how he didn't wanna teleport behind a wall cuz he didn't know where he would be going and might teleport into a wall or something). It's real easy for him to teleport in the middle of the sky like that though.

I can't remember now...did Nightcrawler ever teleport between rooms in the White House scene when the doors between the rooms were not opened?

Nope. Like when he went into the Oval Office - he kicked/threw one guy through the door first and then proceeded to kick everyone's @$$. Regarding Rogue - at least in the movie he doesn't go to another dimension to teleport - I'm not sure about the comics though. He was hesitant to teleport anywhere because of the wall thing. But in the air he could easily teleport to Rogue because he says he can teleport to anywhere he can see

WOW.

Yeah she looked hot in The Scorpion King . I didn't think she looked hot in X2 though.

Didn't think Anna Paquin looked remotely hot at all. Maybe dowdy/cute type of look but definately not for me.......

Can someone answer this?

1) How did sinister appear in the comics or cartoons? I can't remember but remember the episodes with him and the dino type of island and such and iwth Morph.......

That was the savage land. If i remember correctly, Sinister is obsessed with Scott Summers/Jean Grey because he thinks their offspring will be incredibly powerful. I think in one of the comic storylines he even manages to clone jean grey (madelyn prior) who marries scott summers during the whole phoenix fiasco. Their child is Nathan, aka Cable, who ironically rescues the world from apcalypse in the future. Or something like that.

I thought it was technically that he could teleport anywhere he could *think* about. Which would have changed things quite a bit...

Yea, thats about the gist of it.
But don't forget about Cable's younger clone from an alternate reality, Nate aka X-Man....

Great movie. I did a keyword search through all the pages and didn't see anything on this, so I'll ask it here -

I remember in the comics there was a huge storyline called "Stryker's Strike File." I don't remember much of the storyline, tho' I think Stryker was a mutant who kinda looked like a Transformer. Is the Stryker in the movie the same guy? Either way, does anyone know what that storyline in the comics was about?

Cool guys. Thanks for the info on that.

Now another one:

WHERE did Sinister come from in the beginning in the comics and cartoon? Just want to clear up a few things for myself

I was never a huge fan of the comics so I don't know, but in the movie he stated he only teleported to places he could visibily see. (Because of the fear of teleporting inside a wall)

That works for me

For some reason Thandie Newton from Mission Impossible 2 came to mind as well.

Old comics fan here:

Never been a real big fan of team books, but loved X-men in the rare times it was good (Chris Claremont era etc.) My expectations were low for this movie as sequals usually suck and the first movie (which I enjoyed) was mediocre.

UFCK THAT! - this movie was very good and perhaps great. (I'm a nit picky pain in da a$$ kinda guy) Solid in all aspects, no weak spots at all. Always room to nitpick, but I admit its mostly personal tastes for me and not movie flaws.

This movie is hands down better than Matrix2. I was ready for the opposite, I thought it was Matrix2 which wold blow me away and X2 would just be OK. NOPE. Matrix reloaded is good, above average for Sci-fi (no that that says much) but not very good or great. The first was better. X2 was a much better, much more fun movie.

As for the personal nit picks, well one reason I don't like team books is that most charecters are window dressing most of the time and only one or a few are being developed. Each character gets 2 or 3 issues out of each 15 or so and the rest of the time is filler. The exception being who ever is popular at the moment, ie: usually wolverine.

So Wolvie is popular, i can deal even tho i think he's been largely ruined... so he gets the bulk of charecter development in the movie. Ole "one eye" is just a prop (he never is well written which is why no one likes him). They are moving rather fast with the Pheonix. It looks like they are going to pack years worth of Pheonix/ Dark Pheonix stuff from X-men and X-factor into one and a half movies. Yeesh. I am assuming they are going to skip the doppelganger Jean Grey stuff and not fine the "real" Jean in a capsul under the water... I miss beast and Angle, but can deal. The cameos were cool. I like how the handle Wolvie comming around (works considering its only a trilogy). So many hotties I don't even care about the lack of developed female charecters.

well I could babble on but who the hell wants to read my drivel. Anyway I think they made good movie choices, so I don't care about inconsistencies with the comics (I mean its not like the comics bother to be consistent within themselves...) I wish there was more consequences for the ideological differences within the X-men (wolvie is slaughtering people and no one seems to care - then again the "bad" guys are protrayed as mindless evil robots so I guess no one should care) It would be nice to see more dynamics between the charecters too, but I admit that would be hard in just a 2 hour movie.

anyway I am really looking forward to Hulk (a differnt kind of movie by a different kind of film maker) and have hope that Spider-man sequals will be good (the first one was not that great, but I didn't care because Spidey will always be my FAV).

keep the banter going, I like the different impressions and comments in this thread.

HEY!

Anyone want to compare Matrix2 with X2 - I already said I think X2 was much better. Anyone agree or disagree? Why? I'm really curious.
