UK Jasper hunters

I have seen some Elites with LOT 846x. They are 14.2V though! It is difficult trying to find a Jasper Elite. If they had been Arcades, they would have had the Jasper internals. They are the best LOT numbers I have seen though.

All this talk of Jaspers in the UK is really making me jealous.Im in Scotland and I cant find a Jasper ANYWHERE.Been trying Game Station for a good few weeks now and they are still on XBox's from June.Also Block Buster.They cant seem to shift their last lot of Boxes so they dont know when they will be getting another delivery in?

I know the hunt is for the Elites now but for anyone still looking for Pros, Best Buy in Danbury, CT has a stack of them...with a catch. They've graciously decided to take most of their jasper pros (and in looking through, ONLY their jasper pros) and "update them with all the software you need to have fun out of the box" i.e. geeksquad mark up crap for $30. There were 3 jaspers not chosen for this junk, two with boxes heavily dented and one with last jasper pro, intact box, non-geeksquadded.

Where did you see these?

Is it easy to see the amp rating on the UK elite boxes?

846 is mid November. Could be a long wait for elites but pros must be pretty close in the UK now.

I just returned my pro to Best buy after using it for 14days (last day that i was able to return) because i wasn't happy with my Pro having the 175watt adapter even though it was 12.1 and was a Jasper. I decided to wait about 2 weeks for an elite now because that is when i think we will start seeing them.
Best buy, imo, has the best chance of having the newest shipment if you are from Long Island/Queens (NY). They get shipments every Wed and Sat. This upcoming wed ill check the best buy that refreshes its inventories the most which is the one someone posted here already about but i forgot who. It's in queens by Northern BLVD.

The 846x FDOU Elites can be found at various Asda stores. They don't have any good bundles. Actually, they don't have ANY bundles, so I have been hoping that Game would get them in soon as they have a 1yr guarantee and will swap it n-store if anything goes wrong. They also have some good bundles. Some of the Asda stores that I checked only have LOT numbers around the 830s, so keep your eye out.

If I come across a Jasper i would be happy to buy it and you could get it from me. Keep your eye out though as the Asda stores near you are worth checking. Could you stomach a trip down to England? Seen some 842x Arcades in my local Gamestation. Be warned though, their returns policy is pants when compared to their sister company Game. They require you to take the box in and they will ship it to Microsoft. Which is a real shame as I like the staff in my local Gamestation, they seem to have more gaming knowledge and a genuine interest in the games. I have not held out this long for a Jasper only to ship it back to Microsoft and have them send me a refurbed Falcon.

Not tried the blockbuster near me as they don't do Elites (can't find any Elites on their website). If you look for some of my previous posts you will see the stores that I have been checking and the issues that I have had while trying to get the LOT numbers.

I nearly dropped to the floor when I saw the Elite 846x. Once theat magical "x" appeared on the Arcades it was not too long before Jasper showed up. No idea what the "x" signifies, but I feel encouraged by it.

Also, it may be worth noting that another number on the Arcades changed, and this could be another method of identification. I can't remember what we are calling it, but I have mentioned it in previous posts (see the one where I mention the B4J code).

Nothing wrong with that. I'm holding out for a Jasper Pro with the 150w adapter too. Just waiting for someone to spot one in the field. No one has reported finding one yet. :-(

Thats very kind of you peachy.I think I will wait another wee bit,but If I dont find anything I might just take you up on that offer.As you say that Game has the best return policy I would be better getting one from them.If you did get me one from game if something did happen to it I take it I would be able to return it to my local game without any hassle?

Ya i believe that's the reason why do they sell it fro 14k Php that is because to also cover the shipping cost. That's our first option if you can't wait any longer for your hands to land on a Jasper unit. Next is for us to hold on to our patience until DataBlitz will display their Jasper units on their shelves, but my question is how long? I don't wanna go for a falcon anymore. Then lastly, I can request to one of my relatives in the States to buy one for me, the prob is they don't know what I really wanted, they're not into gaming. I'm afraid that if they will going to buy one for me is I'll be frustrated once I get it. For the reason that it was not that Jasper thang.

The next problem is that I don't think that the local xbox repair shops woiuld know how to mod the Jaspers do that they can play the games you can get locally. I understand the jaspers use the new lite-on drives that the modders here haven't seen yet. But not sure.

In the meantime, I'm monitoring Data Blitz, but I don't have much confidence in their warranty. Already got burned when an original game I bought from them had a registration key that could not be used to validaate registration over the net. And they WOULDN'T REPLACE IT.

Talk to http://www.sdmods.com/ the other day...he seemed to be fine with the Lite-On drives (while I know a lot of other modders aren't) - they've always been the best... you could always check with them to be sure.

You did better than I managed. Game wouldn't give me the LOT. Don't sweat though fella, the Jaspers will arrive eventually. The British Isles seem to be running a little behind the rest of the world, but my own search for LOT numbers has yielded some results that must be close. The best Arcade I have seen has been 842x, the best Elite is 846x. I just wish that MS had made the switch over to Jaspers on the Elite nearer to the time that they did with the Arcade. There have been Pros sighted, so based on the fact that Arcades will move faster, the Elites cannot be a million miles away. I tried my local Dixon's and they had all models in the 830s. They had them in a nice glass display case so I could see all of the LOTs.

At least we have not seen too many more complaints about freezing or major Jasper glitches.

I need the Jasper Elites to appear quickly as my hours keep getting cut at work.

Is it an Elite you are after? If not, then your chances of bagging a Jasper soon should be pretty good. I keep checking LOT numbers on a daily basis. Not having any luck with the people at Game though. What I will probably do is go to Game once I know for sure what LOT number to look for and then ask to buy one. Before I hand over the cash I will be checking the LOT and if it is not high enough then I won't buy it. If they would just cooperate with me life would be easier all round. Some of the shops have been great, others are especially unhelpful. It seems some stores seem to just assume they can hand you anything and you'll take it.

That number I mentioned earlier is B4J - 00125. There is a possibilty that this could change if the product internals are Jaspers. However, I suspect that the Arcades may have only changed due to the memory unit now being on-board flash memory.

No Im not really bothered what model it is,in fact I think I would prefer the Arcade.Im planning on getting a 2.5" drive(WD) and hacking it to use in the box anyway.

UK Hunters has anyone seen an Jasper Pro in the UK?? Checked North UK GAME's, Gamestations etc.
PC World all 829/839, GAME all ADUE 851x (although really FDOU 833-842x, no Jasper), Gamestations 833.
Guy at Blockbusters claimed he had them in, and will be getting more soon, GAME has best return policy though & GAME-care.
GAME is also not very helpful though as a couple of shops would not even show me the box.

Waiting for two local GAME's to get new stock. Also GAME will price match, worth noting.

I've been trying for 3 weeks to get an arcade bundle from gamestop in San Diego because I have store credit but they're always out of stock. It's not like the price dropped recently; it's been $199 for a while. Are people suddenly buying the 360 because they think the Jasper board will be free of RROD? Hopefully when they replenish stock they'll all be Jasper arcade bundles.

Ah well as mentioned a few posts above Misco DO have the Jasper Arcades.Luckily I have a Misco just 2 mins down the rad.So I went down there looked at oen and yep it was a Jasper 12.1a.BUT their warranty SUCKS DONKEY BALLS.1 year manufactures warranty and a 7DAY return policy at Misco.I told them to forget it.So thinking I would have to wait a while again on the off chance I went int my local Game Station and what do you know they just got the Jaspers in so out came my Debit card and BAM.I am now officially a Jasper owner.Im just setting it up now so I will post back how I get on.But I just want to say thanks to everyone for the info to help us Hunters eh hunt down the Jaspers.Oh im in Greenock Scotland abbout 30 Miles outside Glasgow.

What are Game Stations return policy, as its the same as GAME on the web site. GAME is still old stock ADUE 851 and recon they have a lot of stock so will take a few months to get through it. So tempted buy an the Arcade + HDD separate option, but it costs a lot more.

Any recommendations

They have a 1 year policy.If it breaks they will swap it out for a new one.They wanted another £30 for an extra year but I didnt want to spent nearly £200 on a 360 Arcade.

Seen a 0842x Pro, but was 14.2A. Thinking of getting an Arcade if I cannot get a pro this week,as all my local shops have restocked. Has anyone seen a Jasper Pro in the UK & ideas of a cheap way to get a Jasper Arcade with a HDD?? Would a secondhand HDD work with an Arcade.

Aye I bought a second Hand HD from e-bay a few weeks ago(20gb)Im using it in my Arcade now,although it only shows a 13gb.
