Great pics Darrell! You are correct, it is 16MB (megabytes) of flash RAM on your Pro. So there goes that theory.Originally posted by: Darrell
Jasperhunter,
I wish I had read your post before I got to work. I have many pics, but not of the box. I will take a pic when I get home tonight and add to flickr.....
Now for the pics of the Jasper XBOX 360 Pro (money shot baby!!! )
Anyway, I have much clearer pics this time. Please excuse the lighting. It was 2am and flourescent lighting. I got as many shots as I thought would be pertinent to our curiosity. Upon inspection, it appears that the flash ram is 16mb...not 256mb like many of us hoped. I will share, that on my motherboard, there is no mention of Jasper anywhere. I also did not take pics of my PSU and female PSU socket. No point really....you will see the Jasper GPU very clearly in my pics. Well, let get started shall we...??
JASPER GPU
JASPER CPU
motherboard top side
motherboard bottom
flash ram
system ram mobo top
system ram mobo bottom
HANA scaler chip
southbridge chip
capacitors
nidec fan
If anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer them as quickly as I can......
****<<EDIT....somebody more experience than myself should look at the flash ram identification. I have read on HYNIX'S site that the chip might be 128mb....But also, looking at Moddage's pic on his arcade, if I plug in the numbers for his flash ram it says it's 2gb....??? I read the description on mine as 16mX8it....so I drew the conclusion of 16mb of flash ram. Moddages arcard flash ram is listed as 256mX8bit......

If you do give up the PRO search for a Jasper Arcade, check Best Buy. If the one in your area is running the same promo as mine, which it should be. Buy a Jasper and one of the games in their ad. All of the games are lame IMO, but you can but Ratatoulli (it's the cheapest) for $19.99 and they'll give you a $50 gift card on the spot, which if you buy the HDD in a seperate transaction you can use it immediately and you'll end up an extra $30 ahead.

Darrell - when you post pics of your Pro, can you please include the sticker from the box? I'm curious if the Pros have any distinguishing features other than a 12.1A label.

Thought about it, but figured that thunder would best come from you.
Anyway, any chance you can use your pull on that site to get Anand to do a HEAT ANALYSIS on the different revs? I was thinking having the same game loop the intro scene or whatever for 1 or 2 hours straight on each console, then measure the heat coming out the back side of it. I'm sure Anand could come up with even better scenarios .... ?????

Well BB has the 120GB for base price of $150. So minus the $30 or so difference with the gift card, it would drop the prices to, approx, $120.
The cheapest price I saw for the 120GB is at newegg for $135 so this is still the cheaper buy.
I would buy the HDMI cable for $5 or so.....I think I would have a Jasper "Elite" without the black color...
Man, you guys are good...

Leward - I ended up going by the BB near the Dayton Mall today. They have a ton of 845X Jasper Arcades. I confirmed 9 of them and they had even more arcades stacked on the racks above the aisles.
The Pros and Elites were all 0837 and older.
