**Official Xbox 360 Jasper Hunting Thread**

A member of the tweakers.net forum said that he found an Arcade Jasper in The Netherlands. It had lot 839, team ADUE on the box, manufacture date 2008-10-10, he bought it at the Bart Smit shop in Nijmegen-Dukenburg. It had 12.1A on the console, build-in memory and came with a 175W power supply.

Also another member said that the Saturn in Groningen has Jasper's too now.

Went Jasper hunting again, this time to Best Buy in Sterling, VA. I only really looked at Elites, I found one Lot 0843 Elite, but I couldn't for the life of me see the portion of the label which would have said 12.1 ... I tried pulling back the cardboard a little bit but I couldn't get it to lift up easily and I didn't want to damage the box too much.

A BB employee started to question me, but I just told him honestly that I was trying to look for a new 360 Elite because it is a better revision and he told me all of these have been sitting for awhile and then walked away.

If anyone wants to risk it or check out the 0843 Elite, I left it at the top of the pile of 360s when you first walk in, but at the "back" of that pile if you just walked in.

I also checked the label and it said "XBOX 360 ELITE SYSTEM VALUE BUNDLE 2008 EN", no "E" at the end so I'm assuming its not a Jasper.

Checked Target, No Hollywood, CA, they had been out of stock for a while.
They had 2 new Elites both 843x, could not see the current rating due to the clerk being there.
Did not purchase since I have already returned similar.

Best Buy, Hollywood, CA - when I last checked 3 weeks ago they were down to 1 Elite. Great, I thought.
Now the Elites have been restocked with at least 20 units ranging from 817 to 836. Darn it!

And oh yes, they did have some Arcade 12.1A Jaspers.

Hey Zuker, I'm in Hollywood too, I gotta go get 2 Jasper Arcades, one to replace mine, and one for my bro for Xmas, any other spottings besides Best Buy, or did Best Buy have a good amount? I'm guessing you're talking about the one on La Brea, right?

Yay, got my Jasper Pro!

Thanks to Dave2h for the pointer, I went to Target on Madison's West side today. They had 3 boxes behind the glass: an arcade, pro, and elite.

The Arcade was lot number 0845x, team CSON (I think). That's the highest lot # I've seen.
The Pro was lot 0841 FDOU.
Didn't see the lot on the Elite.

So I asked the salesguy if he could check the back - told him that I was looking for a specific lot number. He asked which, and I asked for an 0844. (well, why not?) Told him I'd buy it right there if found, otherwise I'd have to come back. He went over and talked to a younger lady, overheard her telling him that there was a pile in the back...

He finally comes back with a 0843x CSON, same number/stickers that were posted earlier. Couldn't see the power rating through the cardboard, no matter how hard I tried, but bought it anyway (and got the free $40 gift card too). Afterwards, when opening it up, it does show the 12.1A rating and the split power connector.

I've been following this topic for a month, trying to find a Jasper Pro for my son for Christmas...and I thought I had finally hit paydirt today. But no.

Best Buy, 95th & Quivira in Overland Park, KS:

I see a pallet load of Pros, they must have gotten new stock since last week....I see the FDOU 845X on the box...hoping that my search is over...and then I manipulate the console and cardboard to see.... ".2". Sigh. Tried another one, with the same result.

For those in the area, I tried the BB at 119th and Metcalf, saw the same stuff as last week - some 838 and such Pros, 842X Elites. Stock on the Pros is getting low, so maybe another week will make a difference. The Costco down the street has bundles with team TMEM....nevermind

Ah well, two more weeks to Christmas.....I guess I'll go for the FDOU 845X Pro if nothing better comes along, and hope for the best.

Search Continues

Best Buy in Fair Lakes Northern VA.

Literally hundreds of systems at four differnt locations in the store. Return Counter, Aisle in front of main entarcce at two seperate places and back with the games and accessories.

All Pros were falcons only saw one as late as 0841. All elites were TMEM. The only Jaspers were Arcades, 0841X, FDOU and I verified at least three of them by tab pulling. There were approx 8 or so 0841X in that pile. The pile was back with the games and accessories.

i have a question.went to my local target tonite 12-12-08 i bought a arcade 360.how do i know if i got a jasper.the lot# was 0846x. date was 11-12-2008.team FDOU also there were 6 boxes 0f 360s came back 1 1/2 hr later only 1 box left .sold 5 360s.

Just look on the back of the console. If there is a 12,1 on it it's a Jasper and if it has a 150 watt power brick.

I think the "E" label is only applicable to Arcades. In fact, I suspect it has to do with a separate SKU for ones with the internal "memory card."
