Yep thanks astrakux.I twas a long time coming but I got there in the end.Not got many games yet.Im waiting to join my local games rental store(Block Buster)then I will see what this Xbox is really like.By the way im playing it on my very old 28" TV with the component cables(I think its component)its the cable that come with the Arcade.It looks ok but if I got my self a 37" or even a 42" LCD with HDMI will I see a big improvement in the Picture quality?

I was basing my statement on the fact that a lot of UK hunters have said they have got theirs. Blockbuster seemed a very reliable bet (see previous few pages for exact locations). I know a guy in Scotland has also got his, he bought an Arcade. I have also been checking every available LOT number myself. Gamestaion near me had an 842x Arcade, it was in the back though so I didn't get the Amp rating. Not sure what LOT numbers the Pros have been showing up in. I can say without a doubt that the 846x Elites that I are out there are NOT Jaspers.

Regarding the onboard 256 flash memory, I had wondered exactly that myself. I think it would be better but I want a black Xbox, so I can't go down that route.

For those peple with vouchers or offers that need redeeming before they expire, why not buy gift vouchers. Gift vouchers tend to have a very long shelf life, and it would mean that you do not have to rush your purchase and end up with a Falcon. Or buy an Xbox and don't un-box it, once the Jasper has been sighted near you, simply return the other one for a refund and get a new one. This will largely depend on the stores' returns policy so make sure you check.

The way I see it is that the Arcades have a different motherboard due to the onboard flash memory, therefore the Jasper Arcades will be on a different line/run to the others. However, The Elites and Pros have the same motherboard, so now that the Pros are slowly putting in an appearance, so too will the Elite.

You will see a huge difference. And get an HDMI cable when you get your new 42" LCD.

My local gamestop has been out of arcade bundles for 2 weeks. They finally got some in this week and I picked one up today with the store credit I had saved up. I can see the 12V and 12.1A through the window. The lot number though is 0849X. I haven't read through all 27 pages of this thread but I haven't heard of anyone with this particular lot number. I can't find it on the 360drives.com database. I was nervous about opening it because gamestop will not take it back if opened.

Edit: never mind, manufacture date is 12/9/08 so it better be jasper. I think I'll open it up then.

Checked the Fairlawn, OH Best Buy on 1/17, there was a pretty big stack of Pros by the entrance. From what I could see they were a mix of 0841X, 0842X, 0843X. Since it was by the doorman/greeter/security guy tore a peek into one I thought had a shot at being a Jasper: lot 0842X team CSON, mid-late Oct manufacture date. 16.5 label on the console.

The other Pros back in the games section were 841X FDOU and older, early Oct to early Sept dates, all 14.2 on the console.

There were a stack of maybe 12 Arcade Jaspers, I believe 0841X FDOU, all 12.1 that I could see.

They also had a ton of all versions lined up under the customer service counter, didn't get a chance to go take a look at the lots/dates, but I figured I couldn't rip into those to verify anyway.

There didn't appear to be much change from when I last stopped in a week ago. They are selling though, I tore into quite a few last time I was in, the ones out yesterday were all free of Jasper-hunting window rips. Must just have a lot of Falcons in the back to get through.

All the arcade holiday bundles should be Jaspers, at least from Dell.

Hey guys can we post what is the latest lot # we see for Elite and Pros. I would like to get a Pro with the 150watt. I know lot 846 has the 175 still.
I just went to best buy and saw an Elite that was lot 844x but was a 14.2 That means though 845 and 846 should be coming in soon for elites, which is jasper.

So guys, if you dont mind please post the latest lot numbers you see for the Pro and Elite edition, thanks.
And also, if you have a 150watt for the arcade, please post what lot you got it from, ty again.

Anyone know how to delete NXE off your hard drive and put it on the internal memory instead?

The only way I can think of getting the NXE stored on the jaspers' internal flash is to just remove your HDD and then connect the console to live so it will redownload NXE instead.

As for removing it off the HDD I don't know if its possible. It will probably be stored, I would think, in the collection of system files which remain hidden like the missing 7GB for Xbox BC.

I found out how to remove the system updates. You have to put X,LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X

Ah thanks for the tip, I shall use that when I can get my hands on a Jasper elite. A shame only 2 have been posted on 360drives so far.

Looks like its gonna be a good few weeks before they are generally in stock in the shops by me in the UK

The newest ones I have seen in the UK are:

Pro - 842 (dont think it is a Jasper
Elite - 846x - not Jasper (I have had a look at quite a few, all 14.2A

The above were found at various Asda stores here in the UK.

As for the ones on 360drives (http://www.360drives.com/list?..._board=5&v_perpage=50), I don't think they are real. I wish they were though.
