So the 2nd one is Falcon, but what about the first one? You mentioned that it was 12.1 through the opening in the box.

I had seen some 851 Pros, but they were all ADUE and the actual FDOU LOT on them (under the ADUE sticker) was 842.

So there are no definate Elite Jasper sightings. Bummer. You actually got my hopes up for a minute.

Anyway, the Pros seem to be trickling through rather nicely. So the Elites will surely trickle through in the next couple of months. There are a couple of special edition packs due out soon so that may shift some old falcons (although unlikely to be available on the Elite). There is a red one and also a Halo special edition one coming. as I said in a previous post, I expect special editions to be based on the 60GB Pro specification. So hopefully MS will throw in any left over Falcon boards into the special editions. Then the Elites can start using the Jasper.

I don't think that the special edition will be falcons. I think they will be Jaspers.
I couldt not emagine that MS has so many old falconboards and other parts left because to have many parts in stock will be very expensive so they produce parts for the Xbox360 just in time. But i think that they have many already produced old Falcon Elites in stock and they will be repacked and sold first.

I would like to agree. Does anyone have any release dates for the special editions? I wonder when they decided to start producing the special ones? perhaps they could be Jasper.

So it seems that nobody has a higher Elite LOT than the one I saw. That makes me a little sad. C'mon people lets post any we find.

you gotta remeber the Halo bundles will be for Europe only as of right now and the RE5 bundle is still just a rumour thats spread from 1 single website to almost every gaming website, so we're all relying on 1 guys word that it's actually probable! I sure hope they release a red 1 and I'm going to wait another couple of weeks before I buy a console to see if I hear anything seen as RE5 comes out March 13th... and Halo wars comes out late February I think the 24th so will have some news about new console bundles if they exists in a week or 2 I would imagine, they're not usually that great at hiding these things right before launching them into stores, because stores need to prepare for them and flyers and such and the marketers are preety good at leaking pics!

Ok...4 big department stores in Athens, Greece:

Arcades : Almost all of em Jaspers ( lots 0838 - 0856x )

Premium : Not a single jasper, most of em were as old as 0830, adue ...

Elites : 0902, no jasper either...


Freakin annoying, esp. when I couldn't find a single 60gb hard disk in stock anywhere...I only found like 3-4 120gb ones...for the ...amazing price of 125 + euros...

I can't really remember now, I saw the 14.2a though..so I guess they must be the same Elites the other guys found in Germany and Spain.

I suspect that they are. Not seen anything on any website that shows an Elite newer than 846. Hopefully with the release of the new RE game and also the Halo bundles I have seen we should see some LOTs shifted through the inventory. I have heard mention of a few consoles dying after the new update too (to fix the HDMI issues), so I can wait a little while for the Elite.

Well, what puzzles me is that on xbox drives, nobody lists an arcade higher than 0851 and the ones I found ( a pile of like 20 ) were bundled with pacman, uno etc and were "0856x"

Maybe I should go and check the team and any other details and list them on the site ^^

Xbox drives lists Premium Jaspers, mainly team CSON found in the US and Australia. However, anybody can list anything there, not really a proof.

That site used to be a great resource. Unfortunately it has gone downhill in the last 6 months or so. It is a shame. The Jasper hunting thread on 8bit was also a really good place to get information and opinions. Sadly that one went sour, which is pitty as I read it daily and enjoy his blogs. The trouble is too many fools hijacked it and turned it into nothing. Luckily Jasperhunter started this thread and we have been free of fools so far.

Certainly worth checking other LOT numbers though and post them here if possible.

No luck here.

I just came back from visiting 2 of the 3 local Best Buy store:

- Store 1: Nothing... just 2 Elites with manufacturing date March 2008. It's been like that for about 10 days now.

- Store 2: About 7 in stock; all of them from March-June 2008.

I went to Store 3 earlier this week and they had the same 5 Elites (2 Lot 0843, 3 dated March 2008) they had for the past month.

I'm tempted to buy a Falcon Elite (Lot 0843X) this week since Best Buy is giving away a $50 gift card with the purchase of an Elite? we?ll see.

So that lack of xbox 360 consoles must be worldwide then, coz most department stores in Athens, Greece have very few (4-5) or no consoles at all, except one of em that had like 40. I asked the manager of one shop where they expect consoles and she said "I really have no idea"....

Wtf Microsoft?...Needless to say all stores had dozens of Ps3s, whatever that means ^^


Well, I've given up waiting for Premium consoles in Europe though, I'll get an arcade and I'll add a hdd later on.

Ok, finally bought an Arcade Jasper, LOT 0850x, team FDOU, came with 150w psu.

The premium ones I found were 0838 and 0842 Falcons, and so were some elites ( had the shop assistant check those since I taught him how to recognise the Jaspers - lol )

I'm so close of buying a 360 now, can anybody comfirm what I've heard is that jasper 360's from CSON have the Nidec fans and are more quiet than the fans that FDOU are using ?

Thanks Peachy001 I will, but seeing that not even Premium Jaspers are sighted in Europe yet, I doubt we'll see Elites anytime soon.

I think not a single elite jasper is listed on Xbox drives either...

But, why don't you get a Premium one? There are some Premiums listed on xbox drive, supposedly found in the US, Australia and Korea..Well, don't know where you live though but you might want to check the info ^^


Davv - I'm an xbox 360 newbie, but I wouldn't call my 0850x, FDOU jasper loud...I was concerned when I heard several people saying about the dvd drive being loud, but it seems to me it's ok. I'll tell you more about that in a few days as I'll have more time to play ^^

Well what do you know I waited for ages to get a Jasper and I did finally get one a few weeks ago.Then out of the blue a guy from work tells me he has an Elite(NOT A JASPER) for sale,only a year old and he only wants £100 for it.So I get the thing and it is absolutely mint condition(and quieter than my Jasper) with all the extras.So I think Im going to put it on E-Bay and by myself......wait for it.....A PS3
