**Official Xbox 360 Jasper Hunting Thread**

I've seen jasper's pro x843,844,845 in Ohio but I don't recall if they are from fdou or Cson. This is my plan this week I'll go to Best buy & try and find one of the lots I've mentioned and try to see if I can get cson one bring it home and see if the fans are stickerless if they are I have jasper with nidec fans.

I'll probably will drive around alot until I see a cson one but if I don't I'll get fdou and see how loud it is. I've heard fdou 360's also having nidec fans. Will do this Thrusday.

If I can't get cson I'll get fdou check how loud it is if I don't like, I'll get the arcade cson x850 cause I've these in town. Then I'll just buy a HDD & cables seprately. I don't care if it cost more. I want the most silent one. I really don't like loud console especially if I can get a less loud one. If I have to I'll buy diff configurations and test them.

Well, I went to both local Best Buy stores today looking for a 0843X Elite console to take advantage of the $50 gift card promotion... guess what? Both store have only 4 Elite consoles in stock each, and all of them are repackage TMEM boxes. I checked one of them and it was a Zephyr :S

Came back empty-handed.

There is a guy on the Xbox forums that claims to have come across an Elite Jasper. No pictures yet though.

I bought an Elite at BB today before I learned about the Jasper thing.

Build date turns out to be 815 (4/1/08) and team TMEM. Went back and looked at the rest of the stack...same year-old 815 build dates.

Continued on to Frys and found an 845 build date, lot 0844X, team CSON. PSU is 14.2A. I bought that one, too.

I'm thinking I'll keep the 845 unit and return the older one.

Anyone know what factory code "07" belongs to?

Well the Jasper Elites are yet to be proved. Which means I got my hopes up for nothing (see my previous posts). I would have been pretty surprised though as the guy said that they were LOT 846x. That just happens to be the exact same LOT number that I have been checking. I have gone through pallet loads and still no Jasper. So either they are making the crossover at that point or the fella that posted the info was mistaken.

I think the red special editions are all based on the Elite SKU, which is nice as it should help shift a few. Heck, they may even have thought about using up all the old Falcon stock in the special edition.

this must mean they are running out of the 175W PSU, which can only be a positive thing. And it is in the UK!

or better yet, maybe they have used up all the falcons on the non SE and all the reds will be the jaspers? seems more plausible to me, as they will most likely be the newest manufactured elite bundles.

Picked up a Jasper Premium from GameStation in Altrincham today. The guy was dead helpful and had a root through the boxes to find one. He also said he's been told that from now one they're only getting the new ones. Mine has a 175w PSU but idc really, it's a couple of days newer than the one breeza posted so I guess it's just luck which psu you get for now. Are the new ones much smaller? The xbox will only use the wattage it needs so i can't see it affecting the power consumption.

If this was a video forum then right now you would be looking at one very cheesed off gamer. I have been following the other threads on Xbox.com regarding the Jasper Elite sightings. Guess what, the guy went back to the shop and they had all gone. So here I sit with still no proof that the Jasper Elites are out in the wild.

I'm thinking of applying for a cleaning job at either Microsoft Seattle or the factories in China. This hunt is driving me potty. Also, thanks to the amount of rants I have made to educate my girlfriend on the massive benefits that Jasper offers, she won't let me get an Arcade just to put me on.

cool.. I have an Elite Jasper! Build date is 10/2008. I didn't get it at retail. The company I work for has a catalog that I can order from (when I get points for selling). I gave away my 20gb xbox360 to a friend and the new one they ordered from MS direct (I'm assuming) is a Jasper!!!!

Am I the first? I checked the power connector based on the pics from the links on the front page. The amps are still 14.

that would be cool if you did have a jasper Elite, but without pictures, I doubt anyone will believe you. There has already been a handfull of people who have claimed this, but magicly can't produce pictures for asorted reasons. I'm not calling you a liar, but without pictures, I don;t think anyone will believe you! Thanks in advance

what pictures do you want? I'll go take them now. I can take pics of the plugs & serial numbers. Anything else? I'll go take them now.

Thank you for the pictures but that is NOT a jasper elite. If u notice it says its 14.2A on your second picture which confirms that it is NOT a jasper.
A jasper would have show 12.1

From what we can see on your pictures, that elite is a Falcon one. However, It COULD still be a Jasper if it has the Jasper power plug on the back of the console. So it would be nice if you could post some pictures of that power plug.
