From what I understand, when you use the cable transfer kit, it takes all of the info off the drive and transfers it to the new hard drive. You need to pick up a 360 memory card/stick thing and you can transfer gamertags to it and take from system to system. I think they are 256mb or something. You can probably get one cheap on ebay or maybe amazon or something.

Still torn about the red xbox dilema. I don't want a red one, and I don't want to wait much longer for a black one.

By the way, has anyone from here sent me a friend request? I got one yesterday but don't know where I met the person. It must be on here as I can see the comments linked to gamertags on the xbox.com forums and I couldn't see them on there.

Checked on Elite's in Burlington NC again. Looks like they are putting out all of the really old stock now. One was an 844. The others were 705!! They were repackaged and had fancy new stickers on the front to make them look new. Man am I glad I know what I'm looking for. I would hate to get stuck with one of them.

Had a look at a couple more websites, they are all offering lower prices.

We may see the black Jasper Elites a bit sooner.

I'm not sure, but it sure looks like its a jasper to me. I tried taking the photo of the power plug and using photoshop to change the contrast and brightness. It looks as if there is a break in the bar at the top. Actually it looks like two small bars at the top. It would be nice to get a better shot of the power plug. Otherwise if you go by the amp it says 12.1, which is jasper.

Ok so the Elite Jasper seems to be officially out ... even in Europe

they look promising. But one has none matching LOT numbers ie they don't follow the usual rules of matching the manufacturing date.

Now the price seems to have dropped in the UK and they have apparently started to appear I am even more stoked than before.

No worries, glad I found out where you got it from. I have not been on Live since I gave my friend his Xbox back so I thought it must be one of these forums. I hope to get my black Elite jasper very soon. I have the cash for it, just waiting for them to show at my local store. I may be on Live a little in the next couple of weeks as my friend may lend me his Xbox again.

I just came back from CORA (supermarket in France) and this is what i've seen :

Lot on the package : 907
Number seen in the window : .....84705 (which means it's a in fact a console built in 2008 (week 47) : it seems the lot on the package is just the date of packaging)

I havent bought this one but I'll do it soon so I can post pics if you want.

finally we're starting to see elite jaspers. I hope that it wont be long until they appear in Scandinavia too.

I still think its sad that all Jasper comes with the noisy delta fans, but it's quite easy to switch to nidec fans. Just buy a cheap RRoD:ed xbox with nidecs from some private person and switch the fans and sell the RRoD:ed xbox for the same amount of money as you paid for it. quite a process, but I'd say it's worth it.

Well I sincerely hope that they have started to appear. LOT 847 is higher than any I have seen. I have posted many times here and on other forums that the 846x Elites I saw were not Jasper. I looked at many of them and none were Jasper. Someone on another forum had said that they saw some 846 Jaspers, but didn't come up with any proof. If they really did hit at 847 onwards then that is pretty good. I am 95% sure that I will wait for the black Elite Jaspers as they offer me more games and an extra controller. I downloaded the RE5 demo, but couldn't get used to the control system especially the aiming. I would rather get Halo.

I tried a Game store local to me and the newest they had was 835. That to me is pretty lame. Hopefully the short term price cut should shift a few of them. The store assistant was really helpful, but probably because I ended up explaing Jasper to him, I also showed him how you tell a Jasper from a Falcon. He knew nothing about Jasper at all! How weird is that. I even had to shhow him where you find the LOT number.

Isn't Team ADUE the repackaging team? Was the Lot number 0902 on the sticker, or on the actual console (i.e. visible through the little window)?

on the sticker unfortunately. I don't understand why they were repackaged since it didn't come bundled with games or anything. I'm not that good at Jasper Hunting.

Hi guys I have a Jasper Arcade

bought from GAME less than a month old and guess what I got the 3RROD, I am totally disappointed this is my second xbox 360. It is left on my desk with plenty of 'breathing' space, and I play mostly COD WAW about 3-4 hours a day 3-4 days a week, maybe sometimes less. I am totally disappointed, even though I bought the 3 year warranty I dont really know if I want a 360 anymore.
