I know some guys on here and at the other forums I participate on have had a few issues with Jaspers freezing. Some were fixed by clearing the cache (dead simple), so that sounds good. One thing I'm sure is that the Jasper will lower the incidences of RROD. Unfortunately that is not the only issue that Xboxes seem to suffer from. The DVD drives must be made in the same sweat shops that manufacture clothes for high street retailers and right next door are the kids that do the welding for Ikea (did you see that documentary - scary man). I'm still waiting for them to find out that the ones made in China have been made using highly illegal lead paint, it is just a matter of time. Anyway, I'm drifting off topic and need to get back to Jasper. It seems, from the post above this, that some stores in Germany are going to offer the Elite and Pro at a temporary lower price. This is similar to the offer I noticed over here (UK). In fact I went to my local Game store today and they still have an offer on them (£20 cheaper than online!), so it seems they are still looking to shift some of the older stock. It is unlikely to be only MS that benefits from the improved margins that the Jasper brings.
I also had seen elsewhere, could even have been on this forum, that there is a rumour that MS are looking to release 2 more SKUs onto the market around June time, which is around the time of E3. They could just be new bundles or they could even be revised models. I wouldn't be surprised if MS increased size of the Hard drive in the Xboxes. Even 120GB seems a little small to me, this would allow them to sell full games via the marketplace for download. I could be jumping the gun with that one, that facility may be reserved for the next Xbox. They could even be throwing in the Wi-Fi. Whatever they do you can bet they are expecting Sony to price cut this year and so will have something up their sleeve. Jasper allows them a little more room to play with ideas or even drop the price, which is something games developers have asked for.
