screen shots so far look like nothing better than madden from last year.

My concern is more with the way the game handles than mind blowing graphics. I thought the Madden game looked okay for a first run on a next gen system but I was not impressed by the way it actually played.

I believe it is a complete rebuild. There are features in the Xbox version that will be missing in the 360 version if I remember correctly. Much like there were thing missing in the 360 version of Madden.

Graphically, it looks pretty good to me. The stadiums and crowds are definite upgrades but the field surface looks like crap.

I definitely won't be picking up MotoGP. Besides the fact that I'm just plain terrible at it (not a big deal, I'd just need to learn the controls a lot better, which I would normally maybe do), but even the graphics were underwheling to me. The bikes and riders look pretty good, but everything else I found to be kinda bland and not so good looking (the track in particular I thought looked like it was using crappy texturing). The demo just didn't impress me at all.

Another game that the demo convinced me I'm not going to buy (I kinda figured I probably wouldn't get it as far back as launch) is Test Drive. I like the idea, but something about the game just seems poorly executed and not fun to play.

I hope Prey turns out to be good as it'll at least give me something to hold me over for a while. Anyone know if it has co-op play? I'll have plenty of games to play though, and I still haven't gotten Call of Duty or several other games that I wouldn't mind playing.

Good time to pick up those early games since they've dropped in price. I also decided not to buy moto gp after playing the demo. I'm horrible, and I can just tell I don't want to put in the time to get really good at it.

Here are some new pics of Prey. Looking really good at this point imo, guess we will all get a taste of it for ourselves next week when the demo hits. Anyhow I would definitely recommend Call of Duty 2, one of the best, if not the best WWII single player campaign's I've ever played. Not too sure on the multi.

Yeah. I had one at launch and liked it, but sold it back in january because I was just getting bored at the time as I had beaten all the games I had that I really played, and there weren't going to be any games worth playing for another couple of months.

I've got Burnout (got it for Live play as I've beaten it on the original Xbox), DOA4, GRAW (not sure how I'll like it), Oblivion (already played it some on the PC, not sure if I'll play it all that much initially), and Far Cry (haven't played the Xbox version) to play through. Once I get done with them, I'll probably try to get Call of Duty, and possibly Ridge Racer. If I hadn't already played them a lot before, I'd probably go for PGR3 and PDZ, but I'll wait until they drop in price before I picke them up again.

I have fun playing the Live Arcade games too.

It'll be tough to wait for when the 360 really starts to hit its stride, but I think I might hold onto it this time.

That one IGN paragraph in the summer 06 lineup link really makes me think of Turok in a way. Its too bad that franchise went to total crap, but maybe Prey can take over.

Ninety-Nine Nights isn't due out until later in the fall isn't it?

I might actually consider picking up Madden again this year, since I actually care about football again, and I had fun playing against one of my friends last year (bunch of crazy games that went down to the last second). Hopefully they've put in a create a player, as thats always been one of the best parts about football games for me.

I wish the Chronicles of Riddick team would put out a new game. I really enjoyed it. It'd be nice if MS would at least get it backwards compatible. Get it some 720p and AA goodness.

I think there's what...over 800 Xbox games total? 200-300 games backward compatible. Good guess.
