I'm going to go see if I can rent it today and give it a try.

I hope it's decent. Since the prey demo was such a let down I was thinking of picking this up. It's gotten pretty good reviews too.

Never did get to rent it. Went by Blockbuster and they don't have it in yet. Oh well.

It won't happen. I don't see why people continue to think this. MS dropping the price is their last ditch effort to thwart off a leading rival. There are none and Sony won't be able to produce enough PS3s to rival MS until at least Q2 of next year.

I'm happy to have my 360 back. I'm still getting used to it on a Dell 2007WFP. Now I just need to resist temptation to buy anything for it.

XBLA Wednesdays!!!!

Xbox 360 Heats up the Summer with Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays: First Up, Frogger and the Arrival of the Best Old School Games of All Time

'Frogger', 'Galaga', 'Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting', and Pac-Man make their next-gen debut on Wednesday's this summer ? bringing exciting new retro content to Xbox 360 gamers worldwide

Today, Xbox Live unveils Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays, a new program that will provide a regular launch schedule of new Xbox Live Arcade games for gamers worldwide. Starting today, Xbox Live Arcade games will now go live worldwide on Wednesdays at 0800 GMT (Midnight Pacific) ? hitting gamers around the world all on the same day.

Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays kicks off with a blockbuster summer schedule of eagerly anticipated retro titles. Gamers looking for a blast from the past can download 'Frogger' ? the beloved Konami classic arcade title ? today on Xbox Live Arcade. Other Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays titles debuting in the coming weeks include 'Cloning Clyde', 'Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting,' 'Galaga' and 'Pac-Man.' To date, Xbox 360 gamers have downloaded more than 5 million Xbox Live Arcade games and the release schedule sizzles all summer long, with the following titles arriving on Xbox Live Arcade:

Ø July 12 ? Frogger

Ø July 19 ? Cloning Clyde

Ø July 26 ? Galaga

Ø August 2 ? Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting

Ø August 9 ? Pac-Man

Kicking off with 'Frogger', fans of the Konami classic can download the game that first hit arcades in 1981 and once again be able to dodge traffic and eats flies with their frog, this time racking up Achievements along the way. There's no better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Frogger and the launch of Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays than downloading this latest title from the Xbox Live Arcade game portfolio.

Xbox Live Arcade's 'Frogger' has been enhanced and reinvigorated for the Xbox 360 and features new, enhanced artwork that matches and compliments the original style. In addition the game's audio, including sound effects and music ditties, has been modernized to sound crisp and clear on today's high performance sound systems. New features include:

- Enhanced artwork and backdrops; players can now choose to play the original arcade classic graphics or the new enhanced graphics

- Fresh soundtrack and upgraded sounds effects

- New Xbox Live Arcade split screen multiplayer modes

- Addictive new Co-op vs Speed, and Head-to-Head Modes

The release of 'Frogger' will be followed up by a host of highly anticipated titles:

? 'Cloning Clyde,' the action adventure/puzzle game created by Wahoo Studios, developer of the popular 'Outpost Kaloki X' for Xbox Live Arcade, will bring its wacky,, classic animation style world to Xbox 360 on July 19

? 'Galaga,' the popular space shooter from Namco, which was first released back in 1981, comes packed with a new online multiplayer function, enhanced graphics and all new game modes on August 2

? 'Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting' takes the best from retro gaming and combines it with the signature features of Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, creating the best 'Street Fighter' experience to date, on July 26

Of course, a line-up of retro classics wouldn't be complete without perhaps the most classic title of them all, 'Pac-Man,' the fruit-eating maze game that changed the face of gaming upon its release in 1980. The Xbox Live Arcade version, which comes out on August 9, takes the famous franchise to the next-generation. With multiplayer over Xbox Live and tons of cool Achievements, 'Pac-Man' stays true to the original while powering-up to next-gen standards.

To help kick-off the summer of Xbox Live Arcade and the launch of these classic game titles, Xbox Live celebrated the 80s with the second Xbox Live Gold Experience event last night in San Francisco for its community members and is now helping other Xbox gamers do the same. Xbox 360 gamers that are interested in throwing their own 80s game night can visit www.xbox.com to secure a retro party-in-a-box complete with Microsoft Points Cards good for free arcade title downloads, pizza coupons courtesy of Papa John's, and a gift card for 80s music.

"There's no better way to revisit the 80s than to throw a retro-themed Gold Experience party - complete with the right classic arcade games, music, and pizza," said Ami Blaire, Global Marketing Director for Xbox Live. "So this summer, live it up on your Xbox 360 and enjoy our new twists on the old classic faves."

All Xbox Live Arcade games can be demoed for free on Xbox Live Marketplace. Check out Xbox Live and Xbox.com for continuing updates on exciting new content available to Xbox 360 gamers.

LMAO ... another lie by MS.

Uno, Texas Holdem, and SF2 were supposed to be the 3 latest XBLA games to hit.

And on top of that we have conflicting SF2 dates in that same article, and both of them are more than 4 months later than they claimed it would be out.

If SF2 has even A LITTLE bit of lag, I am going to be so fvcking disappointed, because apparently thats what the whole delay was - them trying to fix it.

Well, I guess we'll see starting tomorrow.

Texas Holdem is supposedly being held up over sponsor legal issues. Dunno what that is all about. Uno is out and is very popular. And we know the problems with SF2.

I'm guessing typo since this is supposed to be a copy of an official release.

Tried out Frogger this morning before I left for work and well, its Froger. Same gameplay, updated graphics. The Achievements make for a nice challenge though. They have interesting ones like survive on the road until the timer hit red, get five frogs across in 45 secs, etc etc. Didn't try any online multi-player.

First thing you'll want to do is go into the options and adjust the screen size. It was initially too small even on my 48" HDTV.

NCAA 2007 demo is up, it's 1.05 gb.

Save your time and HDD space though, it's weak. The graphics look worse than Madden 2006. You would think it would look better than that, but then again, it's Lazy EA.

Remember Madden at launch for the PS2, and then madden the following year? Why can't we see that kind of difference here?

(yes I know its NCAA but its the same engine)

NCAA has always looked worse than Madden though. I can't recall a year where it looked at least as good.

Battle for Middle Earth 2 demo is up. I've played 5 mins so far and it seems fun, no time to try it out a lot yet though. But the shadows..oh my god. It looks like it was from a PSX game. The shadows from the people and trees and stuff..it's beyond horrible. Wow.

Screw it then. I was waiting for this game before buying the 360 but hell I'll just wait until next year or Madden now. I'm really disappointed about this btw. I've been looking forward to NCAA for a very long time.

I mean give it a try if you want, but I am not lying when I say that I'm utterly very VERY unimpressed with the graphics on the game.

I feel like if people are saying it is unimpressive then it is probably unimpressive.

All I want is a next gen looking football game with controls that do not suck coupled with a Dynasty mode. Is that really too much to ask of EA?

I also liked it a lot more than I thought. It might be worth the $48 from outpost. I enjoyed the level quite a bit. Still a little hard to move stuff around and go out and about, but it's pretty good. I liked.

I heard that the demos EA releases have been much rougher than the final version.

My minireview of the Demo. Graphics are just like Pur says. The intro swoop around the stadium stutters. The aliasing is pretty bad. Other than that, the graphics are 'alright'. Nothing that screams 'next-gen'. But, I expect this to be no different than Madden's first shot at next-gen....non-spectacular graphics and missing features.

Rumoredly, this demo is based on the E3 build or some other earlier build. I dunno.

Corso and Co. are using the exact same lines from 5 years ago.

The actual gameplay is the best part. I don't mind the control changes because it takes like 5 minutes to get used to them. Gameplay wise it was still great. That's probably the problem though. The gameplay is still great but pretty much the same so we expect to be wowed by graphical upgrades.
