Agreed. Amazing that so many people think PGR3 is a sim style game. There really aren't many racers on consoles that are really realistic. You want a sim or a more realistic racer there are plenty of excellent pc racers (GTR series for example) out there. PGR3 is a very good arcade racer. Saints Row is not the greatest looking game out there (some parts are underwhelming) but a step backwards from San Andreas?? LAWL Someone needs to play the GTA series again and take a better look. Its a wonderful series but its fairly basic looking (great city design is what the series has).


The only thing I'm disappointed with when it comes with visuals in 360 games is the lack of good anisotropy filtering (PGR3 is guilty of blurriness on the track due to no AF) but thats the pc gamer in me talking.

FN3 was not a launch title, it came out in February. Also FN3 is a game with pretty much no depth. It is so basic, I was kind of pissed I bought it.

Also, does anyone else feel like there are a LOT of little kids playing the game online? There is no chance my parents would have allowed me to have this game, heck, my wife doesn't like it when I have the volume too loud with all of the cussing, etc.

I don't know the neighborhood name. But I do know kind of how to describe it.

You know where the church is? Well if you look on the map at the church, then you go left about 1-2 neighborhoods over from there, you will see a liquor store.

Whenever I w ant to find the basketball court, I just put the cursor on the liquor store and set a way point. It's right around the corner from there. I can't remember the name of the liquor store though. I could explain it a lot better when I get home later tonight and can find neighborhood names.

Forza was probably delyaed because of the backlash on the net about the assy looking visuals from the pics they released.

Ya, I have to admit, PGR3 wasnt what I expected. I really never played it before, seeing as I didnt have 360, but I think I will still like it.

I am not saying the visuals arent nice in Saints. There a step forward in terms of looking nice, but to me, San Andreas's graphics looked real. In Saints, it all just seems to look plastic and fake, especially some of the cut scenes. Its still fun, the controls are different from the GTA series, in which I think GTA wins.

Ya know, I really want to like Enchanted Arms. I rented it the other day when I went to the video store looking for Dead Rising again. Of course, DR wasn't there so I picked up Enchanted Arms and thought I'd give it a try.

Nice game but the ultra-annoying gay character and the random battles every 10 feet are killing the game for me.

MS said your warranty is long gone.. but since this has been such an issue with launch day machines will send you a refurb for 102 bucks..

so anyway well see how that refurb works in about 8 business days i guess...

really upset as im really addcited to Saints Row and wanted badly to play TDU... what a crapper..

Don't think so about the warranty. Usually you are required to send them in within the originial warranty period.

Someone posted something about "implied warranties" though earlier in this thread. You may want to scroll back a few pages and take a look.

I really think these issues are software related. Somehow the software is doing something to mess up the systems. I find it so strange how it always happens that people's 360's mess up when they use some new software. It's happened to many I know.

Mine broke as soon as I downloaded the burnout revenge patch and updated it, and ran Burnout. From that point on my 360 gave me the 3 rings of death.

I find it odd yours fvcked up after trying out new software ...

Why do I ask...I've been out of the console hardware news loop for some time. I seem to remember hearing rumors (probably false, but I don't know) that they were going to change the hard drive, or the fans, or add something, or take something out. I'm sure it's the usual bunk that goes around, but just in case there is something that might change in the next four-five months, I thought I'd ask.

Yeah unless there just aren't any games on the system that catch your interest.

The only possible changes for the 360 hardware is a shrink to a smaller die and that isn't happening until sometime next year. We'll probably know more about new hardware/accesories after the Tokyo Game Show and MS's X06 event just around the corner. But I doubt it will be any permanent change to the Premium and Core systems.

The good news is that MS seems commited to updating the 360 OS to make it better and add more features (Spring and Fall updates).

I'm on my third 360 after receiving my first one in the first week of january. Thankfully they've been breaking just before the warranty is over. The last one crashed when I tried to play NCAA, so I think there's something to the theory that they sometimes react badly to new software. My latest 360 seems to be a little quieter than the others, but it might be my imagination.

Anyway, I've been reading on the IGN forums and there's a really easy way to earn money. Go steal an armored truck (Titan), store it, and keep blowing it up. They give a good $5k each time.

I always like to replay the mayhem missions. Even though they are EXTREMELY easy even at level 8.

all you need to do is go start the mission, and don't go into the target area until you get 3-4 stars by using that unlimited ammo they give yoU

once the FBI start rolling in and you take out a few choppers you will reach 800,000 in no time.

Just an FYI for those still thinking about getting Saints Row. It is region free which means you can import it from Japan for about $40. It is out of stuck at play-asia.com though.

I beat Saints Row on monday. With 85ish% done. I don't think I will go back and finish the few missions I have, they bored me after awhile. I guess some night if I just wanna play a mission here or there, that's how I'll finish it. Overall though, the story missions were A TON OF FUN. This was the most fun I had with a game on the 360 in the last 6 months.
