I'm pretty sure the updates can be applied to the core system. Those updates aren't stored on the HD.

You can add a HD to a core system also.. the HD's on the 360 are not internal. They are attached externally and are portable. And like DonVito said they are usually in the area of $99

Just got Test Drive Unlimited today...wow, fvcking awesome. My favorite racer on the 360 by far. If you don't like it, you either don't like racing, or are some sort of car handling elitist that has to have it just right.

i bought TDU almost two weeks ago and i still havent played it. i want to finish up enchanted arms before i start another game. im 80% done right now... 20 more to go!

Did you also play the demos? I'm curious just because I HATED the demos, but I'm willing to give the full game a try if they've improved the handling.

yah Ive been playing it alot too..

got over 200 miles in game now..

bought a Ford GT with stage 3 tune
Saleen S281 Extreme
Saleen S281 Convertable
Audi TT

and have around 300k in the bank to blow on a house or another car..
Saleen S7 TT is 500k so kinda saving up for that.

The car choice in the demo seemed bad... most cars dont seem to handle like they did..

I havent had near the fustration I had in the demo

X06 Rumors

Tommorow is the X06 conference in Barcelona. Some info has been leaked including some big surprises. Here is a list of what is going to be anounced tommorow. Tune in for the confernce at Xbox.com from 6pm GMT.

Gears of War single player and multiplayer videos shown. Playable on show floor.

HD-DVD anouncement. Release date and price for Europe and United States. £119.99/E149.99 and December 1st release in Europe.$199.99 USD and November 24th release in US.
All will be bundled with Universal Media Remote.

A new Halo 3 trailer is shown. Some multiplayer info revealed. Aiming for 50-64 player online. Announce that Halo 3 will be the first game to run natively on 1080p. They will make full use of this update. Available in 2007. Playable behind closed doors.

More info about 1080p and how it will be done. New dashboard announcement. Release date revealed for late November. Will allow users to try out homebrew content made with XNA game express.

More news on Live Anywhere and how it will function. Talk about function with Zune and XBLA titles.

Rare show off new version of Killer Instinct for the 360. Will support 4 player tag matches. Playable on show floor.

Alan Wake shown and fully playable. Will also be availble on Windows Vista. Coming this Spring.

Fable 2 trailer shown. Multiplayer confirmed.

Black Xbox 360 anounced. Available this Christmas around the world. New Xbox 360 core and premium bundles shown. Xbox 360 Classics game list. Kameo, PDZ included. More this spring including Oblivion.

I don't know about the fairer sex but my son loves it. I rented it last week and we've been having a blast playing it together. It has actually been a good incentive for him to practice his letters and numbers. I'm planning on trading in NCAA Football to get the full version at this point.

when i move out of my current place, i seriously think i'm going to turn my ki2 cabinet into a mame cabinet so I can play KI1 and MK2 online with Kaillera. I own MK1, MK2, KI1, and KI2 actual arcade boards, and hav a ki2 dedicated cabinet, so I could legally play those games online with a mame setup

DOOM is coming to XBLA.

Before X06, Microsoft had been telling us that we were going to be treated during the conference to a previously unnanounced IP, which was set to be released as an XBLA title. Several names were thrown into the mix, from several different publishers, but no one was particularly sure.

Well, we're pleased to announce, the waiting is over, and the title is none other than....

Doom!

The original Doom is rumoured to be seeing a release later today, with a much higher resolution, 5.1 sound, 4 player split-screen co-op, and on and offline multiplayer, all for the comparitvely low price of 800mp. Whilst this may seem a bit disappointing to some who were expecting a new IP, I'm sure the multiplayer and achievements will be enough to sway a lot of people into buying it.

this game has not aged well at all IMO. i don't give 2 craps about it.

EDIT: rumor also has it that this may be released today after the MS conference.
