I'm reading now that it's not Splinter Cell: Double Agent that is exclusive but the next game after that. Still a nice score for MS.

There was definitely some news for a press conference opener. Hopefully, we'll see more as X06 continues.

meh that splinter cell and bioshock news does nothing for me. regardless they would be out on the 360.

also that marvel game was already announced i thought. i read about it in the EGM this past month i believe. unless that's a different one.

You probably read about Marvel: Ultimate Alliance in EGM.

And the press conference went pretty well. I don't know what you're looking for, but pretty sure it didn't disappoint the masses.

Guitar Hero II officially announced for the 360

September 27, 2006 - Today at X06 Redoctane and Activision announced that Guitar Hero II will be available for Xbox 360.



The president of Redoctane is quoted in the press release stating: "The tour will continue the rockin' gameplay Guitar Hero fans have come to enjoy, and will now include expanded Xbox 360 capabilities. With Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 rock rhythm, lead, or bass guitar tracks with downloadable content and the new X-Plorer controller, designed specifically for the Xbox 360."

They also mentioned that the large hard drive on 360 and Xbox Live Marketplace creates endless possibilities for downloadable content. While the press release doesn't state it specifically it looks like we'll be rocking out wirelessly on the controller pictures below. We'll have more on this title from X06 as the event continues.

No, since Microsoft owns Bungie, and I would guess Ensemble, then its a cooperative. I'm gonna guess that Bungie gets final say on the story and other Halo stuff, but I doubt Ensemble will be too limited, they probably have mutual respect for each other that will help them cooperate better.

Nope just working cooperatively with them to expand the Halo game IPs. They are also working with Peter Jackson's new "Wingnut Interactive" game studio to create yet another Halo IP.

So how is the Smackdown vs. RAW demo? Just saw it, and started downloading all the demos and crap that I've missed out on the past week or two. Been working too much, haven't even had time to turn the 360 on, let alone play anything. Also, how is DOOM? I won't be able to try any of this until I get back home from work later today.

I didnt care for for the demo...
great grafics but did not like the playability.. was not "fun"

beat enchanted arms last night. 100%, got all 25 achievments as well. if you want an rpg thats actually worth spending $59.99 on, its def. not enchanted arms. the ending was weak.

Need for Speed: Carbon demo is out and its very unimpressive. Looks like the xbox/pc NFS:U games but with an even lower frame rate (sometimes it takes a MAJOR nose dive ...like sub 20fps for sure). What is that crap??!! I also cannot stand this night time, ricer, fast and the furious garbage. Most Wanted was a step in the right direction and maybe the full retail version of Carbon will be good (I hope) but the demo is awful. I do like that customization stuff but at the moment I'll wait for the pc demo and see how that is.

I don't see how anyone can play a racing game with that kind of frame rate. Maybe the pc version will come through with superior performance (at least on my rig).

I didn't want to get all excited...but read a recent preview for GoW...and now I'm officially excited. The team Deathmatch sounds fantastic...and "jump in whenever" Co-op is also a great feature. Here is the preview.

I'm also pretty interested in Fuzion Frenzy 2. I never played the first one and while the game type isn't really my bag...my fiance loves the game (at least a couple of the games in the demo)...so it is nice to have a game that we can play together. I'm looking forward to getting the full game.

Assassin's Creed looks freak'n amazing after watching the in-game demonstration at X06 (not the trailer...but where they were actually playing). If you haven't seen this, you need to go to gametrailers.com and check it out...download the HD version.

Also, I read that Bioshock was in fact using the Unreal Engine 3...not the 2.5 verision as I had previously thought. Saw that in this article. Makes sense as the visuals look really good...and the gameplay sounds interesting.

Anyway...this fall/winter looks to be a LOT of fun for the Xbox 360! Awesome for gamers.

I really like that they are releasing lots of demos lately. It seems like every time I turn my 360 on there is a new demo to download. They might suck, but at least it's content.

Now if they would just release the Splinter Cell demo I would be extremely happy.

hrmm, im still waiting to see if gears of war is going to live up to the hype. it looks great, but so did alot of other games, like enchanted arms. then you spend $65 and are completely disappointed.
