It is supposed to be November 7, right?

I don't understand how every website has different dates on game releases all the time.

Because the manufacturer changes the dates all the time?

Well the game comes out in ONE week. Date is set and has been set for a reasonable amount of time.

No. You *think* the game comes out in one week. Like I said, they *changed* the date. IE:

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=200172

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...nbow+six&type=product&id=1158318674475

etc. Why the differing/varying degrees on dates? Dunno, that's up to them to update the website with the most updated info.

I can't wait to play coop and terrorist hunt over xbox live, loved that in the previous games.

Between that and Gears of war it really is going to be a busy week next week.

Luckily I have the monday off that they are having emergence day (or whatever it's called)

I'm hoping my HDTV is fixed by then. The repair guy is supposed to be out next Wendesday to fix it but the last time they came out it took them two trips a week apart to replace a part.

I've moved my 360 up to the bedroom but the 32" SDTV in there just isn't cutting it. And I know it won't cut it at all for GoW.

Ah, ok. Well that's fine then because I didn't like the idea of that releasing on the same day as GoW anyways. I'm willing to bet that they didn't want to try to compete.

Thanks for clearing that up, it's confusing when 5 different sites have different dates.

That sucks, but at least your 360 is working Would be worst to have it fail just before GoW comes out (knock on wood)

Are you more excited about GoW or R6? I've been watching the vids of GoW and it just doesn't excite me for some reason, like the ones for R6 and SC3 did. BTW, sorry wasn't trying to bust your chops on the dates. I'd like to know just as much as you do.

Well at first I was possibly a little more excited about GoW, but after playing the R6 demo and seeing the vids, I'd have to say I'm probably looking forward to R6 a little more. I thought the demo was done very nicely, and I love the new controls and the ability to duck behind crates and walls. I know for sure I'll have tons of fun in R6 coop online As long as they did the online multiplayer right and it won't need a patch to make it work properly, but knowing Ubisoft I'm sure it will work just fine.

I"ve been playing the R6 series games since the first one on Xbox 1 and am a huge fan.

Hopefully though, GoW will be good as well and I'll have two good games to play

And don't worry about the date comments, it's all good They can't mess with the dates for R6 like that it messes with my head.

I'm also in the boat now of looking forward to R6:Vegas more than GoW after playing the demo. It's unfortunate that R6V is shaping up to be simply a better Ghost Recon, but then again, that a good thing .

I've already played the demo like 5 times, it just plays so smooth.

I don't really like ghost recon at all, i just can't get into that game.

Awesome. Is it just me or were you not impressed with the first R6's on XBox Live? Like seriously, it was so difficult to kill people when playing online. I'd remember meeting an enemy point blank and we'd upload 3 clips into each other, point blank, and because the aiming system/reticule was so ridiculously small and just crappy, neither of us died. The only way to kill anyone in that game was via:

A) Grenades/Grenade launcher
B) Zoomed in from far away

It was just pointless having a non-zoomed in firefight. I still played it but lost all interest after Halo 2, which is still the top game I play on Live.

I LOVED playing those games on Xbox Live, even though they needed a few improvements here and there. The Team Survival ended up being nothing but seeing who can camp the longest. And like you said, in close combat while moving it was almost impossible to take someone out with an entire clip. Realistically an entire clip should kill someone, but in those games you had to walk very slowly, or stand still to be somewhat accurate.
And most of the time they turned off all grenade launchers, but grenades ended up being most of the kills because people would just choose all grenades and have 9 of them, and lob them into all the windows at the start of the maps.
Most people would just find a hallway and lean around the corner and kill people that way. Do you remember the airport map? Inside the hanger on the top floor at the end of the hallway was where almost every map ended it seemed like.

In the end I was mostly playing Coop in Elite difficulty on terrorist hunt/missions.

Hopefully they have made the aiming system a little better as far as close combat. I know that this game won't let me down if it's anything like the previous games.

Never could get into Halo 2, still have it though.

Edit: Wow, didn't mean to write such a long post. Took 3 hours to get home and posting is helping to relieve stress

The wireless headsets are available right now, and they retail for $59.99. Mucho expensive if you ask me.

Yes! I liked and hated that map, it was just hit or miss for me sometimes. Seems like the good players could rape everyone else on the other team unless the other team got him like 3v1. I did like the garage map though....once it was down to 5 vs me, ended up winning. Got lucky, but won.

What's your Live gamertag? We should hook up sometime and play a few games.

I'm not sure how much the warranty at best buy is, but you can buy a warranty for Microsoft.
1 year is $30, and 2 years is $60. If you do buy one of MS's warranties, they start after the original 90 day warranty expires.

Wow, that is very expensive. I believe I'll pass on that for a while. I'd rather buy some a game at this point. they shouldn't cost as much as a controller...

Wow I played the Rainbow6 demo today for the first time, and I have to say that game is garbage. I just do not like it at all.

What is really starting to piss me off about the 360 is how we see these videos of games, and then play them, and they look no where NEAR as good as the videos do.

And I'm talking about the 10 min clip that was demoed of R6 at E3. It looks 10x better than this demo they gave us, which apparently is the E3 demo. SO who knows what the hell they were running it on at the demo.

I'm just sick and tired of the crappy framerates in these games on the 360. It's supposed to be powerful and have "next gen" graphics, and so far, very little feels next gen. I really REALLY hope that GoW looks as good as those multiplayer vids I saw recently (which I really expect it to since it's actual people playing).

GoW is going to set the graphical bar for the 360 if it looks as good as those vids.

It's been pretty good so far. Although they have a distribution center in my state so that helps matters. It usually only takes 2, maybe 3 days.

Contra is going to be the XBLA release for this week. 'Bout damn time!

Atari classics coming as well.

Centipede®/Millipede®: defend your village against an onslaught of centipedes, spiders, army ants and more. In addition to the classic mode, the evolution mode offers high definition graphics and special effects like motion blur, trails and particle-based explosions to make the experience as enjoyable today as it was decades ago.

Battlezone®: the original tank vs. tank action classic has received an Xbox Live overhaul, adding in exciting new multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. This updated version is truly a must-have for any fan of the original, which is also included. Additionally, players can use the Xbox Live Vision camera to watch live video of their opponents. Combine these features with new special effects for weapon firing, impacts and explosions and you have one killer classic as you?ve never experienced it before.

Asteroids®/Asteroids Deluxe?: rotate, thrust, flip, fire and jump to hyperspace as you blast oncoming asteroids to smithereens just like in the 1979 original, but in updated, beautifully rendered, high definition graphics that complement the classic original.

Missile Command?: protecting your city from alien missile attacks has never looked better now that this classic has been overhauled with updated graphics and 3D rendered vistas. Choose from the evolved mode or the timeless original gameplay.

Tempest?: clear a web of enemies before time runs out and advance to the next stage, using an arsenal of weapons at your disposal. This evolved version features a graphics overhaul while maintaining the same addictive gameplay of the original.

Warlords®: a multiplayer classic that resurrects the competitive spirit of arcade games from years gone by. Knock out the other kings in their castles while keeping yourself protected at the same time. Up to four players can join the action with the game taking control of any vacant castles allowing for a variety of single- or multiplayer experiences. Gamers can also import their own pictures to their castles for an extra personalization.
