R6V is fun, but I'm disappointed to see such a graphics downgrade in multiplayer. It doesn't look nearly as good as single player. Definitely a fun game, though.

I will be picking it up this evening, will be able to play some tonight, but I am probably going to take off work tomorrow due to traffic, so it'll be game time that 's for sure.

I didn't plan to, but driving 3-4 hours round trip to WORK 4 hours just isn't worth it So if you go to work you know where I will be...
BUT there's a catch. In order to get the game I have to go to the mall and that means letting my wife shop for as long as she wants (till mall closes). I have no excuse to have to be home early since I don't work tomorrow

I noticed that in the demo too...it's a step above the graphics from the original XBox R6 games. At least for the character models though....the overall graphics in general seem to be a lil bit less polished, but still quite good. Just dunno how the character models suffered so much.

My guess is they just pulled a GRAW on us, because the graphics in single player are pretty darn good... not GoW good, but good. Since they're allowing 24 players on a server, I guess something had to give. I would have rather had much smaller player counts (6v6, give or take) and continued to enjoy the graphics in multiplayer, too. But you're right: as it is, the MP graphics are a very slight notch above the original Xbox.

perhaps ubisoft did the same thing they did with GRAW, and have 2 different divisions of Ubisoft develop the different parts of the games. I know the single player and multiplayer for GRAW were developed in 2 completely different locales.
maybe R6 was like this too? i don't care personally cause this game blows IMO

That sounds like a crappy drive.....I thought my hour drive to my old job was bad (one way). Just tell your wife you maxed out the CC's by buying R6:V. Boom, problem solved!
Agreed. I'm not sure why game companies insist on having every single game in 3D. Viewtiful Joe did pretty well, no? I'd like to see an original Sonic game created for Live Arcade, or atleast some IP of that sort (Earthworm Jim, perhaps? ).Originally posted by: raystorm
Sonic the Hedgehog has been getting fairly poor reviews as expected after that awful demo.
Sonic is one character that will probably never had a good 3D outing ...and yes..those Sonic Adventure games stunk up the joint. Sega has to make a nice 2.5D Sonic game..y'know..old school gameplay with next gen visuals. I think the new PSP Sonic game is like that. Too bad as I'm in the mood for a colorful platformer after so many serious games (GoW, Call of Duty 3...etc).

What is knights of the nine all about anyways? i'm too lazy to search it out..
A fallen King has been unchained from the darkness of Oblivion to seek vengeance upon the Gods who banished him. Only a champion pure of heart can vanquish the evil that has been released upon the land. You must heed the call, reclaim the lost relics of the Divine Crusader, and return the Nine to glory. New dungeons, characters, quests, and mysteries await.

I've got too much to play and too little time - thank god the Thanksgiving holiday is coming right up where I can firmly plant my butt in front of the TV.
Games I just got: GOW, GRAW (yeah, I just barely got it), Table Tennis, NCAA Football 2007, Madden 07
Wii games: Rayman Raving Rabbids, Zelda
So many games...so little time.

* 480p SD television -- 160 MS Points ($2)
So far they've got 48 movies and 50 TV shows broken down between 2 movie studios and 12 television networks. We're surprised Universal, who're supporting the HD-DVD and Zune platforms in a big way, didn't climb on board for the initial launch but we're certain there's a warehouse full of lawyers working to get more content partnerships established. Pics of the service after the break.

I don't think I'll do any of the movie rentals (size + cost + 24 hour "rental period" = ) but I'll give a couple of the TV shows a try.
