How does PRG compare to Forza?

Like comparing apples to oranges. Forza is as close to a race simulation as you'll find on the Xbox. PGR is more of an arcade racer where you pick up points for driving with style as well as winning races.

yeah, i played regular at first to get a feel for the levels. now i am going back to unlock the achievements on vetern.

Yup. It is actually a combo of Composite and Component cables. Have to make sure that you set the switch on the cables over to 'HDTV'.

Ubisoft via VoodooExtreme. The release date now shows "March 2006".

Yep. 12/22 is the new ship date. They said they needed extra time to get all the online stuff working right.

I don't know. Microsoft has a pretty damn generous policy concerning faulty systems. Not only that, but if they could prove that the percentage of defective systems is in line with a typical piece of consumer electronics/computing equipment then I would think their case wouldn't have too much merit.

I hope MS fights this as I think this is just some a-hole who've heard probably the same 200 people on the internet going crazy because they happened to have gotten faulty systems.

I'm 100% in Microsoft's corner on this, and they'd win the lawsuit for sure. However, it'd be way cheaper and easier to just settle the lawsuit than take it to court.

No it wouldn't. It's a class-action lawsuit. If they settle it with this guy, then they would need to settle it with everybody.

No it wouldn't. It's a class-action lawsuit. If they settle it with this guy, then they would need to settle it with everybody.

Why do you think so many companies and individuals settle instead of going to trial? Throw in the cost of lawyers along with other court costs during a protracted trial and it is cheaper to just settle.

Lawyers like this guy's lawyer know that so they'll file lawsuits like this betting that companies will settle before going to trial.

OMG i just came back from Bestbuy... and people had lined up in the freaking snow since 10pm last night for the 360s. PEOPLE ARE INSANE. I went there at about 7pm thinking nobody is going to be there, or at the most a few people, and i could wait in the snow for 2hrs with them, but there were like a dozen people already.

I dunno about this.. Forza and PRG3 are very close in driving models..
all the techniques that give you kudos are valid race manuavers in Forza as well.
they both feel about the same to me.
not very arcadish specially when compared to real arcade drivers such as NFS

I agree somewhat. I think PGR3 is a good blend between Arcade and Sim style. It's not nearly as simulation as Forza, however it's not nearly as arcady as NFS:MW is either. I played it for a good 2 hours last night which was really the first time I gave this game a good sit down. I really like the way PGR3 plays. It is very rewarding when you make some good turns and have a clean lap.

Also about these games being delayed. As much as it sucks, its definitely for the better. The delays just mean the game is not ready. It would much rather wait an extra month or two in order to get a %100 complete game than get a %75 complete game 2 months early.

Look at the launch titles. I would say atleast 75% of them have framerate issues. If they had more time to tweak these things i'm sure the framerate issues wouldn't be there. However the launch was a strict deadline that had to be met, which is why we saw so many unpolished games, and 50% complete EA games (as far as features).
