thanks, took me a while to get it going. not very intuitive and I couldn't find anything about it in the manual. pretty sweet. Glad they did the horizontal splitscreen.

Do I need to do something special to use my headset?

I was playing online, heard people talking so I plugged mine in... I dont think anyone could hear me... I moved the switch back and forth and everything but nothing... Not sure they couldnt hear me either though...

Tried in both PGR3 and COD2...

Does it need to be plugged in when I turn it on or something?

Nope, it's very straightforward... Perhaps you have a defective unit.

Nope, it's very straightforward... Perhaps you have a defective unit.

goto parental settings and make sure communate is on everyone, not friends only.

I think that that article was comparing 480p on both systems, not 480p Xbox versus 720p Xbox360. They were just comparing the two for peole who don't have HDTVs so that they could see if the graphics were different enough to warrant buying it even without an HDTV.

The year is 2005, almost 2006. I don't even know people that don't have a HDTV.

So far only one of my friends has an HDTV (one I recommended for them btw...does 1080P hehehe) and I have a projector myself that does native DVD resolution.

So...yes, one person out of...everyone I know.

Admittedly I'm 22 so my friends are still mostly poor, but nonetheless that's not exactly massive market penetration since I'm already sort of counting their parents since some of them still live at home.

I for one will probably be perfectly happy with downscaled 720P on my projector.

I bet quite a few people don't know the difference between TVs. For example EDTV vs HDTV. Quite a difference, but since both are probably large, maybe flat, and maybe thin, they think it is a HDTV.

Well, I decided that I'm going to sell my 360. Probably gonna just try to sell it locally since I don't really want to hassle with eBay.

Its a good system and I like it, but I'm feeling much more like playing some older games.

Anyone know if it's possible to get Gamer Points without buying them? I'd like to get some of the stuff off the market place, but would rather get achievements and stuff for the points instead of just buying them...

I have like 125 "Gamer Points" but they don't show up in the Market place or anything - so I'm guessing that's different...

Anyone know?

YEa gamerpoints just show that you have got achements in the games, each game has 1000 possible gamerpoints. Market place points must be purchased.

I got my Zero Hour Faceplates yesterday in the mail (Finally)

I think I received 2 because 1 for filling out the index card there in order for them to get your mailing address, and 2 because I was a winner of the hex168 contest. Another guy I was hanging with there also received 2 of them, thats the conclusion we came to, since we also know people who only got 1 that weren't hex168 winners

I personally think they are ugly and are going straight to ebay, unless someone wants to trade an E3 or PGR3 faceplate for one of em. If intersted let me know ...
